Barry Manilow has backed out of his scheduled appearance on the morning talk show after the show refused to pull Hasselbeck from the interview, "Access Hollywood" has learned.

I stopped watching the View after Rosie left. I tried to watch it but I couldn't stand Elizabeth's smug little look... And because she was the one left standing in the little dust up it was like she became empowered to be even more annoying.
As for "Libs" not wanting a fair debate, explain to me why it is that Bill-O and Hannity and the like shut the microphones off when someone disagrees with them or shouts them down and never gives an opposing view equal time (Ask Alan Colmes)
As for trying to debate with my conservative friends, it never happens. They throw some "Clinton got a BJ" line out there and stomp off. I had a friend recently tell me that "Poor" George has had to spend the last six years cleaning up Bill Clinton's messes. I asked her to name one example... just one. She couldn't do it and just threw up her hands and said, "I'm not discussing this anymore!"
I do like Joy Behar. Maybe she should get her own show. Maybe they could put her, Sarah Silverman and Kathy Griffith together and just rag on famous people.

I can't stand to watch it either. It is no longer about important current events. I guess that is the way BW wants it. No controversery. She needs to change the name of the show from The View to The Lame. And why is BW hosting at all - she never shares her view. Rosie was the best thing that show has ever had and we had a bunch of jealous women stabbing her in the back because they know she was the reason for the ratings climb. Not only because of Rosie's strong views but because she was very funny.
Eh ... if I were a megastar of decades and still able to get on stage or in a studio and belt out the songs, I'd insist on a few things, too. Peanut M&Ms and some sense of intelligence in the interviewers. Intelligence. There we go. Elisabth Hasselbeck does not seem inordinately gifted in the intelligence department. Another example of Liberals not wanting their beliefs to be challenged because they cannot fathom anyone having an opinion different from theirs unless that person has a moral or mental defect. Typical self-centred thinking coupled with a "road to hell is paved with good intentions" mindset.
