After declaring she didn't "believe in evolution, period," new "View" co-host Sherri Shepherd was asked if she thought the world was flat. Her response to moderator Whoopi Goldberg is in the clip below.

Jeffrey is Shepherd's two-year-old son.

Ratings baby. We're all here talking about how dumb she is while she and Babbs et al are laughing their ways to the bank.

Bush should hire her as a Science adviser

We had a guy here for a while who thought that Mars was the Third Planet in the Solar System, but I don't think the roundness of the Earth was ever disputed during our many on-line science debates

I thought Elisabeth was the dumbest person on daytime television. I guess if you wait long enough, there's always the next idiot to lower expectations. Party on Sherri.

Oh my God! What a piece of crap! This is the end of this show now. It was coming to an end, anyway, but now it's really over. Could it get any more stupid and airheaded? I guess it could, but who would wait to see? Whoopie should have her own show. She's wasted here. But the others are dumb and/or "has-beens," especially Barbara. Time for an "Assisted Care Facility!"

I saw the show where Sherri spoke the first time about not believing in evolution and believing in an absolutely literal interpretation of the Bible, and it was at that exact moment that I began to pray (so to speak) that she would NOT be offered the chair permanently. I knew everything she said from that moment forward would be, for me, negatively colored by that declaration. But today's show went beyond anything I'd expected.

What I'm trying to figure out is why on earth did Babs bring it up again?! She clearly zeroed right in on Sherri and pointedly brought it up. Babs has not been kind to Sherri from the her first day under contract. Maybe Babs didn't want her and is expressing her displeasure now by deliberately setting out to sabotage Sherri. That seems particularly cold, even for Babs, but I wouldn't entirely put it past her, especially if she was crossed by Sherri or someone else along the way to Sherri's backside taking custody of Star's old chair.

There seems to be a movement to celebrate stupidity these days by the media. Leno's jaywalking segment is really popular.
Ignorance seems to love company every bit as much as misery.
It becomes frightening, however, when these dullards end up on juries.

Even worse when they end up in Congress and the White House.

I can and do accept others not believing in evolution despite the abundance of scientific evidence.

However, for someone in a prominent position on daytime TV such as Sherri Shepherd to not know that the earth is spherical is a mockery. If Disney cares about our youth and proper education they should tell BaBa WaWa to find a reason to get rid of Sherri. We don't need role models like Sherri Shepherd to give others the impression they can make oodles of money and be so ignorant.

Sherri makes enough money to have saved for enough time for her to go back to school and this time get a scholastic education.

Is Barbara Walters really investing and promoting the likes of this moron.

Shocking backward stupidity.

Maybe Rosie was right - Walters is feeble minded.

Glad my cable box has a "Locks & Limits" feature that I can use to block channels. So far I've blocked Fox, ABC, Disney, all the religious channels, and that channel with the beck guy and that awful nasty scary witch, forget her name but it's not important, as long as I don't have to see them.

I think we should have the Mythbuster test this flat earth thing out. Maybe once it has been explored on the television, she might be able to accept the results without having to think about it. I know I can't wait to see if Jamie and Adam Confirm or Bust if the the Earth is flat. Then again they follow the scientic method on Mythbusters, so she may not believe their results.
