The campaigns of Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton and John Edwards traded pointed criticisms yesterday over Mrs. Clinton's use of a Washington luncheon for fund-raising.

The confrontation started with Mr. Edwards's campaign attacking Mrs. Clinton's $1,000-a-person luncheon and continued as her camp dismissed the broadside as signs of a "flagging campaign."

I still can't find anyone but two people who support this corporate schill.
She will sell out American Freedom and Prosperity ....she is more interested in her own prosperity and power.

Another hit job-the people of Iowa don't like this kind of politics-Today's AP story about the two John Edwardes:
"Democrats never made lame excuses for making money, as Edwards seemed to do when he claimed to take the lucrative hedge fund job because he wanted to learn more about financial markets.

The political opportunism of the Kennedys and Roosevelts " as brazen as it was " seems in the rosy glow of hindsight to be less of an issue than it is with Edwards.

He ran as a moderate Democrat for the Senate in 1998 and the White House in 2004, calling universal health care policies irresponsible and impractical. Now he is more liberal, shifting to the left along with Internet-fed forces within the Democratic Party, and vows to give health care to all.

After the 2004 election, he stashed his political team on the payroll of a nonprofit anti-poverty group that kept alive his public profile.

He demanded that all Democratic candidates return their contributions from Rupert Murdoch and executives at News Corp. in a gambit to portray rival Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton as a creature of the corporate establishment. It turned out that Edwards got $800,000 in a book deal with HarperCollins, a subsidiary of News Corp.

Although he donated his profits to charity, Edwards looked like a hypocrite again.

A political attack doesn't need to be right to work, which is one reason why he is on the defensive."

Hm, if his campaign is flagging why bother to even comment about it? I mean, why say anything?

Alright Hillary.

Hillary is poisoning the well she will drink from come the general election if she is not careful. No candidate aong the dems will galvanize the Right more than Hillary, ... and she proceeds as if she has been anointed by the Dems before the first primary.

Some of us in the middle, Mrs. Clinton, might just sit this one out.

"nothing galvanizes the right" like a Dem.

Wake up! The next preznuts will appoint at least one SCOTUS member. The balance is already not in your independent flavor!

If you love Hillary's health care plan, take a look at Edwards's seven month old one. You may be fancying Edwards more than you think.

She's a great politician in the George Bush style.

If she get elected or selected nothing will change. She will cave into all corporate whims. Edwards is correct she is a Republican lite. I hope the people who are promoting her actually knows what they are getting. I also hope they are not voting for her just because she is a women. Same goes for Obama. Edwards health plan is the only viable one that takes away corporate greed on the sick and dying.

I totally agree with ashami's assessment-I am an Edwards supporter as well-we know she wouldn't even have put a proposal forward unless forced by him-he is by far the best candidate-we know there is no such thing as a perfect candidate-they don't need to be perfect, just have the welfare of the American people at heart and believe in the Constitution-if her marriage hadn't been so bad, we would have had Al Gore for 8 years-America could have been an amazing place, both economically and and socially-this is why her negatives are so high-she and her husband brought shame to the office and enacted NAFTA-they have no shame, and I am not a Republican, just a citizen.

It's tough for Hillary because she knows how many people despise her (according to her negatives in the polling) and that she doesn't have any new ideas. She has been corrupted by triangulation and the DLC style of non-leadership. She is a good senator and has a reasonably solid progressive voting record. But a president needs more than this...the next president needs to lead us down the long and painful road of recovery from 30 years of GOP damage. Hillary is too content with much of the status quo in order to make this happen.

She also knows that while she's polling high nationally on name recognition, the more people hear Edwards speak, the more votes he will get. When he wins Iowa, the corporate media will finally focus on him fully and he'll be unstoppable after that. Hillary knows this and is trying to stop it by feminizing him and making her own nomination seem inevitable, hoping that it will keep Edwards supporters home. Unfortunately for her,Edwards supporters are too pumped up about his candidacy to stay home, and it's that passion and excitement that will put him over the top.

Hillary is delusional. Edwards' campaign is hardly flagging, and I would vote for him over her in a heartbeat. I think Hillary is scared sh*tless that Democrats will wise up before the primary and realize that a vote for her is a HUGE mistake.

The "Friggin' Idiots" of Hillary Clinton's Campign.

What, ... is 'flagging' supposed to be some kind of 'convoluted anagram' for, "faggot?" What a ridiculous joke her campaign has turned out to be.

The advisors in Hillary's campaign are nothing more than a bunch of little, "friggin idiots."

John Edwards - THE Peoples President in 2008!

What does a flagging campaign mean?

Call the grammar police.

Or wave a flag or something.
