Rudy Giuliani was on the trans-Atlantic campaign trail Wednesday, schmoozing with conservative idol Margaret Thatcher and bragging about his international credentials.

"I'm probably one of the four or five best known Americans in the world," Giuliani told a small group of reporters at a posh London hotel as onlookers gathered in the lobby to gawk at actor Dustin Hoffman, who was on a separate visit.

The troop supporting Repubs were intimidated by the White House into voting againt the welfare of the soldiers in order to remain loyal to Dear Leader, as usual.

The irony, of course, is that the way the White House persuaed them was to say that, if the extension of a mere three months at home went through, there would not be enough troops to sustain Bush's Iraq folly.

They are therefore admitting that the military is in such rought shape now, we can't even give soldiers more time at home before throwing them back into that cauldron.

Bush 41 began the closing of military bases.

and that has nothing whatsoever to do with misusinig the military in the first place, then fucking up so badly it strains them beyond capacity.

Clinton effectively removed a dictator from power with that military and without losing one US soldier.

Bush imposed an unnecessary and poorly planned and executed war. That is a very different thing.
