NY Post Contradicts Itself, Misrepresents Clinton's Health Insurance Plan

Media Matters:

A September 19 New York Post article on Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton's (D-NY) proposed health-care plan bore the headline: "Hill Care-ried Away: Employees Must Prove Insurance" and reported that Clinton said "everyone eventually would have to prove they have health insurance when they apply for a job." But in the next sentence, Post correspondent Geoff Earle quoted Clinton saying that "she could envision a day when 'you have to show proof to your employer that you're insured as a part of the job interview,' " [emphasis added], not that workers will "have to prove they have health insurance."

The Post headline was similar to a September 18 headline on The Drudge Report, the website operated by Internet gossip Matt Drudge, which read: "HEALTH INSURANCE PROOF REQUIRED FOR WORK", as Media Matters for America documented.

NY Post Contradicts Itself - that is an oxymoron - |ˌäksəˈmôrˌän| noun a figure of speech in which apparently contradictory terms appear in conjunction (e.g., faith unfaithful kept him falsely true).

DERIVATIVES oxymoronic |-məˈränik| adjective

ORIGIN mid 17th cent.: from Greek oxumōron, neuter (used as a noun) of oxumōros ‘pointedly foolish,’ from oxus ‘sharp’ + mōros ‘foolish.’

utter rubbish. she wants to force us to use the insurance companies. this isnt manditory care, this is mandatory buying from insurance companies. anybody happy with the current auto insurance situation? anybody?

hillary has the highest donorship from big pharma and big health. i will officially NOT vote for her now.

if kucinich doesnt win the primary i will pencil him in. and if people want to flame me for saying that, they ought to flame the democrats who keep pretending that we have always needed some sort of super-majority to pass anything. hello history? women would still be waiting for a democratic super-majority to get the vote.

ENOUGH

AAAARRRRRGGGG!

When will the American people see that Insurance companies are nothing but a protection racket.

Every real presidential candidate runs on some type of health care reform platform that requires the purchase of insurance.
Insurance companies offer nothing in return for the 18-25% they charge on the American health dollar, but no candidate can run agains't them because their pockets are so deep they can sink any candidate.
No one knows that more than Hillary Clinton, but one would think that would make her stand up against them, but her ambition makes her being president more important than any true reform.
Obama the same.

The MSM seems to be making a seemless and smooth transition from propaganda to out and out lies.
Who are these people!
