She's still a stupid cow.
THE WORLD IS TOO FLAT!!!!!!!!!
JUST TAKE A LOOK AT A MAP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Signed, Sherri Shepard
Barbara Walters should be ashamed of herself for pandering to the Christian regressives.
Yeah, right. And Bush isn't stupid. This is a prime example of how we keep people away from education so they continue to vote republicon.
Senior moment? Give me a break. My mom is 85 and more confused every day. If I asked her if the world was flat, she'd look at me and ask if I've been smoking weed again.....pulease.
You're right. She's as stupid as Bush, who announced Mandela was dead this AM.
But you have to admit, it is pretty representative of America (well, except for the no-guy part).
Two smart intelligent and funny and two...in total denial of reality.
And Barbwa, she's rich which makes her merely eccentric, right?
The original clip was stunning. Her defense here is understandable.
The real story is that we all know in our gut that it is quite possible MANY Americans don't know if the world is indeed flat.
Back when Kennedy launched the space program, I dare say EVERYONE would have known the answer.
We're on the wrong track, America, and heading the wrong way on it.
Sherri should've said "I thought you asked me is Eartha (Kitt) was fat!"
Good one.
She said she doesn't know if the Earth is flat because she's a churchy and wasn't sure if there's a fairy tale that demands she stay away from the edge of the Earth, lest she be smote.
I'm so happy that I killed my TV 5 years ago! Ihave no cable, no media news. Nothing. I only get a few channels that in case , excuse me, when W drops a bomb on Iran, I'll know.
I don't have to be irritated by this schtuff.
This crap is meant to be used for mass hypnosis. All of the American people are hooked into this and controlled by it one way or another.
"Free at last, thank God almightly, I'm free at last."
Ms. Sherri Shepherd represents the "dumbing down" of America and in that she is simply a product of a failing educational system. That is not her fault per se yet what I find so bizarre is that she can hold The Bible as the sole source of all universal truths. I am always befuddled how someone can subscribe to ancient texts largely written by unknown authors of one small tribe resident in Mesopotamia and Canaan and then wholly ignore the here-to-date sum of human knowledge collected the world over. If God is a scientist, God is a very poor one though as Sam Harris wrote God has inordinate fondness for beetles.
What I hold against Ms. Shepherd is her unwillingness to question, to form opinions based on empirical evidence and to continue to hold beliefs that fly in the face of hard, cold facts. I have been wrong in my life much too often and I am sure that I will be wrong again but I hope that I am capable of learning. I am not sure if Ms. Shepherd is capable of learning.
Huzzah.
To split a fine hair, she may be capable. She is unwilling.
This willful denial of truth is itself a public epidemic.
"To open your mind to religion, one must first poke out the eye of reason."

I cannot beleive what I have just heard. How far down the stupid barrel did Walters have to dive to get that one? As for the View, it is right up there with the rest of the crap on TV posing as entertainment, someone needs to pull the chain, America does not need any furher dumbing down.
Sherri, you are a DUMB BLONDE period.
Oh Shit...you are not even blonde
Ok, ok, you are just DUMB, period. And "the View" is the show for dumb idiots.
How much due diligence did they do B4 they hired this woman??? Was she hired strictly on the basis of her pleasant personality? Of course have people of differing views on The View but at least have them capable of articulating said views! Scary how dumb she seems!
good. now we've heard from all fifty of the people who judge women based on quick-witted responses to science questions. like ms SC, i want to know what she thinks because she's an attractive magnetic woman; i go elsewhere for geography information. women don't have to be right. it's not their thing. i want them to think about themselves like they do because it's a trait that translates into protecting children.
Uh, no.
"Is the earth flat?" is as much a SCIENCE question as "What is the name of the force that makes apples fall out of trees?"
It is a factoid so fundamental to a common base of EDUCATION as to transcend subject definitions.
The irony is that somehow this ignoramus, and defenders, think that such pervasive ignorance is INDEPENDENT from her ability to protect a child.
Uh, no.
And god wanted her to be overweight. It has nothing to do with caloric intake or amount of exercise.
Backtracking: I want the poor lady to have high self-esteem, and pride in protecting her child. I also want the poor lady to have a thirst for knowledge -- not dogma -- so as to improve the lot in life for said child!
nuts like Sherri Shepherd have made joke out of science..why is she still employed by ABC?? uneducated freaks like her should be sent back to school!!
And she is the "first" primary teacher of her children.
Lord, help them!
Oh, NOW I remember why I don't watch this stupid show.
Thanks for reminding me, Huffpo.
