Hillary Calls Cheney "Darth Vader"

"Vice President Cheney came up to see the Republicans yesterday. You can always tell when the Republicans are getting restless, because the Vice President's motorcade pulls into the Capitol, and Darth Vader emerges," Hillary Clinton said just now at a $100-a-head fundraiser at Town Hall near New York's Times Square, referring to Cheney's efforts shore up Republican congressional support for the Iraq war.

"I'm not invited to their meetings and I don't know what he says or does," she said, in an informal conversation on stage with former Iowa Governor Tom Vilsack and retired General Wesley Clark. "But all the brave talk about bringing our troops home, and setting deadlines, and getting out by a certain date just dissipated."

Cheney & Associates appear as a different species because they ARE a new breed in the political jungle. Remember when the national political conversation involved the proper role and response of government to real issues that faced the people? These issues were often hotly debated. However the common thread in these debates was that the politicians involved had a deep abiding commitment to making government work--liberal, moderate and conservative alike.

In contrast Neo-con's, virtually from the cradle, are imbuded with a deep and abiding hatred of government. Consequently, when given political power, they are incapable of governing. Worse, some justify corruption as what they see as 'raping the whore' that corrupts society.

The Senate votes to condem the MOVEON.ORG ad against Patraeus. Many Democrats vote in favor of condemnation, but Hillary Clinton votes against it.

Again it comes to show she will say or do anything to get elected.
