Hillary Calls Cheney "Darth Vader"

"Vice President Cheney came up to see the Republicans yesterday. You can always tell when the Republicans are getting restless, because the Vice President's motorcade pulls into the Capitol, and Darth Vader emerges," Hillary Clinton said just now at a $100-a-head fundraiser at Town Hall near New York's Times Square, referring to Cheney's efforts shore up Republican congressional support for the Iraq war.

"I'm not invited to their meetings and I don't know what he says or does," she said, in an informal conversation on stage with former Iowa Governor Tom Vilsack and retired General Wesley Clark. "But all the brave talk about bringing our troops home, and setting deadlines, and getting out by a certain date just dissipated."

She is trying to deflect her 'Abramoff' moment. If the press would actually pick up on it the whole Hsu mess makes Abramoff look like a rank amature.

Then this morning I heard a news report about a lady who 'gave' $4,600 to billary, but was reimbursed the money by her husbands employer. Not real sure, but I am thinking that there might be a slightly illegal cash bundling scam going on here......­.

WASHINGTON - In another sign of U.S. struggles in Iraq, the target date for putting Iraqi authorities in charge of security in all 18 provinces has slipped yet again, to at least July.

The delay, noted in a Pentagon report to Congress on progress and problems in Iraq, highlights the difficulties in developing Iraqi police forces and the slow pace of economic and political progress in some areas.

It is the second time this year the target date for completing what is known as �rovincial Iraqi Control�has been pushed back. The Pentagon report submitted to Congress on Monday hinted at the possibility of further delays.

How does that erase her culpability in OUR country's legal bribery scheme, or the fact she champions this practice as access for "...real Americans"? She is WRONG for OUR country.

They could instead; publicly finance ALL elections, create a single form of "petition to government" for ALL, and outlaw ALL forms of direct lobbyist contact, access and contributions.

Not difficult first steps to return OUR government to the voting citizens.

I agree that Hillary is nothing more than "Bush Lite". She's far to entrenched in the established power structure to bring about any meaningful change.

Look at her "health car plan", if you can call that pathetic idea a plan. It's health care that guarantees insurance companies huge profit.

Anybody thinking they'll vote for Hillary should consider Romney or Giuliani instead. At least they're HONEST about being Republicans.

What bothers me is that there are alot of people who have sided with Hillary because of the false ideas that:
1. Electing her will be like having Bill run the country again - which it most certainly will NOT.
2. Since she's the "front runner", we HAVE to vote for her - since she's already "winning".
3. She's anywhere NEAR as electable as Edwards - moderate Repubs WILL vote for Edwards.
4. There's any real chance of having a Repub elected prez in 2008.
