Sen. Hillary Clinton's sexuality is not the most pressing issue on the presidential campaign trail, but it is likely to get a fair amount of attention on a lazy Friday in the nation's capital.
The New York Democrat tells "The Advocate" that she is not a lesbian, according to a story in Friday's edition of The New York Daily News.

Why should it even matter?
This is probably the beginning of a long and protracted attack by the Republicans against Clinto. Remember when Rove/Bush tarred McCain with leaving fellow combatants behind and, worse because they were in South Carolina, with fathering an illegitimate BLACK child.
First of all, there is nothing wrong with anyone being a lesbian as long as they follow the laws of the Country (probably a higher percentage of lesbians I know follow laws than straight people). Hipocrisy is an issue as we know from Larry Craig. Hillary should support gays/lesbian whether she is one or not. I do not care if she is or isn't a lesbian. I care if she will be a good president.
Calling Hillary a lesbian will be the Republicans gay marriage (or anti-gay) issue for 2008. "Vote for Hillary and your daughters will be lesbians."
So I would say to Republicans: attack her healthcare plan, attack her credentials, attack her position on Iraq, but leave her sexuality out of the discussion. Unfortunately, Republicans don't want to discuss those issues because Clinton (and just about any Democratic candidate) would destroy them on the issues.
Republicans are freaking over her health care plan.
Anything to distract from the issues!

She addressed the issue because she was asked about rumors concerning her sexual orientation during an interview with a gay news magazine, The Advocate.

I have always been astounded at the depravity of the rightwing whackjobs who spew these lies. They do it constantly. As has already bee mentioned look at how Rove and his fellow creeps set out to destroy McCain. The stories about leaving fellow Americans behind, collaborating with the enemy, fathering an illegitimate black child, and the ones about his wife being menatlly unstable and it just goes on and on.
I wish we had laws to protect people from that sort of slander....oh wait we do, but politicians are terrified to use them because their "advisors" tell them to ignore these things because then people will think they are true if you fight them.

This is amazing. There is not one shred of evidence that she is a lesbian. A gay magazine asks her anyhow. Why I have no idea, maybe they just ask it of everybody. She says no. (because, obviously, it is the truth) and not only doe the liberal blogs find this newsworthy (why?) but the nutcases say 'Oh my God! That means she MUST be a lesbian!'.
