Associated Press:

A day before flying to New York to speak directly to the American people, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad struck a confrontational tone Saturday with a parade of fighter jets and missiles and tough warnings for the United States to stay out of the Mideast.

Three new domestically manufactured warplanes streaked over the capital during the parade marking the 27th anniversary of the Iraqi invasion of Iran, which sparked a 1980-88 war that killed hundreds of thousands of people. The parade also featured the Ghadr missile, which has a range of 1,120 miles, capable of reaching Israel.

Ahmadinejad is a religious extremist who awaits the "12th Iman" and a form of "Final Battle" where survivors will be given the opportunity to convert to Islam or fry in Hell. Not much different from the "Rapture Ready" Christians who crave a seat on the 50 yard line in Israel to see a similar battle first hand.

When addressing the UN in the past, Ahmadinejad told some leading Iranina mullahs that during his speech at the UN all the delegates fell into a form of "spiritual trance." Later he denied saying this.

This guy is a religious nut. No question. He's as bad as the Rapture Ready crowd and is itching for a fight.

The sheer lack of intelligence on this topic is breathtakingly sad. People are calling Ahmadinejad "Hitler"??? This guy has only been president since 2005, and was elected in free and open elections that the US GOVERNMENT said was free and fair...now he's Hitler...eh...ok people.

I also love how some claim that he has called for attacks on America....that is false, yet people keep making that claim.

Let me ask this: Is this the first time that Ahmadinejad will come to the US? No...he was here last year, so why the sudden fear mongering and hatred?

America continues to lose its way...so sad to see.

The "sudden fear mongering" is actually the crescendo of a campaign that they've been running for a long time. Last time, they didn't feel like they'd gotten the US public anywhere near whipped up enough for war. Now they think they can get there, and they're working on it.

Ahmadinejad has already spelled out how the U.S. can live at peace with Iran. In his own words he was we must all convert to Islam.

Liberals first!

Just going over some of the web sites on the holocaust and their prisons, such as Treblinka and Auschwitz. The more powerful and the more land Hitler conquered, the more of a dilemma he had; what to do with the jewery in those countries. The dehumanizing and murder of thousands of people of Arab descent, all because of the acts of a few dozen extremists, brings comparisons between the chimp and Hitler. The more resources (oil) he trys to get, the more problems (arabs) he gets. Just as Hitler could never get rid of an idea (jewish religion), so can chimp not get rid of an idea (Arab freedom from Western imposed genocide).

Okay how about this?

Bacon.

Is it really something innocuous as Goldman suggests, simply an innocent adjective as in 'bacon breath'.

Could it really be somehting much more sinister and terrifying as infideltexan suggests, a vile and evil intrument of torture.

Inquiring minds want to know.

Ok. With about a year to go, there's no way chimp will invade Iran. He's a lame brain..I mean duck(no difference;my apologies to any ducks out there), our military is tapped out in Iraq already, and I don't see him advocating for a pullout in Iraq. The extra resources for Iran will require a mandatory draft and I don't see that either. So, with the exception of a few bombing runs designed to evoke the 'Heil Hitler' from the likes of 'goldman'(wishes he had some), and of course the obligatory bending over of our media, Hillary/Edwards/Obama/Richardson will put an end to the Corporate/Pentagon reign when they take the Presidency next year.

those who are paitant, and persevere, the visit, the words, and dont inslaught cross meanings, and sympathitacally treat complaints , and won't repeat/remind incidents ,in cross questions, that didnt suit both societies, will recieve the prize of peace and that the us society, is not under a direct physical attack either. And that the vistors will more like to befriend, than too bring confrontation to violence from their 'complain' in return to hard words again repeating the incidents and verbal exchanges that didnt suit both the societies....

The hypocrisy in this propoganda "news" article is sickening. The entire piece is written with the sole objective of painting a parade in Iran as a threat against the American heaven where peace, love, and freedom exist without any words of hate or vitriol against other nations or their leaders; America the pure where no shows of military might or immature notions such "axis of evil", "you're either with us or against us", or invasion of innocent countries and people would ever be considered. Get over it, the one who dealt it smelt it.

I just watched the youtube video of Ahmadinejad at the United Nations. He sounds about one trillion times smarter than Bush, whose moronic speeches are a regular feature on the David Letterman show. I doubt that any of the mouth-breathing cavemen here have ever heard Ahmadinejad speak. They've been told what to think about him by their hero president and the corporate media. They can't even pretend to be able to think for themselves. They think that Limbaugh, Hannity, O'Reilly and tv wrestling are real.

ahmadinejad is no fool.

he would also not be in power in iran now if bushco hadn't threatened that nation for no apparent reason.

iran had been moving steadily towards an increasingly secular pro-western government through the peaceful means of elections. their population is largely young, and wants no part of a theocracy. they had been bringing about change in their own country through peaceful means.

but bush decided to start flinging his own feces around, and aimed at them. the iranian people, with the horrifying example of iraq to show them what bush was capable of, decided they needed someone who had proven himself as a warrior.

ahmadinejad was a much decorated and respected hero of the brutal eight year war with iraq. his old fashioned politics could be overlooked because he was so highly regarded as a true patriot and defender of his nation.

the man is no fool. he holds a phd in civil engineering. he has given speeches at the United Nations that were electrifying, stunningly articulate, far sighted and civilised. and yet he was portrayed as a slightly insane demagogue for them by the supine press in this country.

iran has one thing to protect it that iraq does not have.

it is a signatory to the international criminal court, and if bushco attacks them, the neocons will then become subject to the jurisdiction of that court for crimes against humanity. the fact that bush rescinded the US signature from that court will not matter. the crimes in question will have occurred on the soil of a signatory nation, and that is enough for the court to have authority.

it is interesting to note that in 2005, the government of iraq, maliki's government, attempted to sign on as a signatory to the international criminal court. they finally dropped their bid to become a member under pressure from the united states.

(part 2 of 2)

something else this administration should bear in mind is that their successors, most likely democrats, can sign on to the court. the american president can also agree to accept the authority of the court retroactively, back to its inception in the summer of 2002.

that would mean that the period of time under the bush administration would then be covered by its jurisdiction and the neocons subject to its justice.

no wonder they are so desperate.

they could yet end up in the docks at the hague.

Well, I side with Ahmedinejad. The evil ones
are Bush and Co, they take by force what they
desire and they spin the news until dumb people
believe them. Not once, but over and over and
never get smarter. By the way, E.Howard Hunt
in Dallas already made an oil deal with the Kurds in the north of Iraq. Even they have no
hope in the current politicians in power in
Iraq LOL.

NO HE DID NOT DENY THE HOLOCAUST. JUST BECAUSE HE HOSTED THE HOLOCAUST CONFERENCE DOESN'T MEAN HE DENIED IT.

If so, why is the state run television running a documentary called "Zero Degree Turn" a story about an Iranian diplomat in Germany during the Holocaust. tell me about it, idiot.

He didn't deny it. He claimed that it was being used to cause emotional responses to intellectual questions. By the look of this thread he seems to be correct. The Zionists are masters of propaganda. They've been doing it well for 120 years now. bush was stupid enough to fall for it hook, line and sinker. Peace
