Thompson On Jena Six: "I Don't Know Anything About It"

By any reasonable measure, Fred Thompson, the actor-lobbyist-presidential candidate, is off to a rough start. Particularly on policy matters, Thompson has been confused and uninformed about everything from Social Security policy to drilling to Everglades for oil to the 2005 Schiavo controversy.

But this has to be my favorite.

NBC's "First Read' reports that when Thompson was asked Thursday about Louisiana's "Jena Six" protest of Old South racism on his way into a San Antonio fundraiser, he replied: "I don't know anything about it."

Bush fielded a question about it at his news conference the same day, saying the events in Louisiana had "saddened" him. Thompson's staff said he knew all about the issue but was unfamiliar with the expression "Jena Six."

Looks like the Repubs found their candidate! Stupid, uninformed, lies and doesn't know much about anything.
Wonder if Bush will pass along to Fred, his playbook on how to be President! I'd love to read that one, let's see:

1. Start WAR, lie about reason, then turn everything over to people that don't know what the hell they are doing.
2. Spend, Spend, Spend
3. Don't worry about natural disasters, those people can just take care of themselves.
4. Global warming? Huh?
5. Health care isn't a problem, you've got yours I've got mine, no problem.
6. Number one goal, overturn Roe v Wade, and load up the Court with more cushy, religious wacko cronies.
7. Most important of all, DON'T TAKE ANY RESPONSIBLITY FOR ANYTHING.
8. Get a Vice Prez who's as deranged as you and let him run things, that way you will have plenty of time to vacation.
9. Anyone who disagrees with you or the policy, you must destroy!
10. Finally, make sure you take care of your Corporate donors and wealthy henchmen, without them, your nothing!

Ineterstate 10 Between New Orleans and Houston is called Cancer alley because of all the chemical plants there. Well this is what happens when you get exposed to them too long; You become an ignorant, spiritual bankrupt, fearful bigot if you are white.
This story may give some ammo to the Hypochristian Right that Evolution Dosent exist, especially if you are exposed to petrachemicals.
Mabye we could call to reinstate the draft but only draft white republicans, especially sheeple like David Puke and his KKK scum. But give them all blanks in Iraq.

right after cnn was showing the demonstrations held in Jena, the next story was about Obscene dancing, it showed 2 black kids doing a "dirty dance" over and over, then asking a young black man what he thought about it.

LAW & ORDER - JENA

Fred Thompson plays a hard-hitting prosecutor in the rural South. Episode 1. A county commisioner, Alba White, coming home drunk from a bender has just struck and killed two star high school athletes who were running next to the road. Fred has just come to review the grisly scene- one kid went throught the windshield, and the other was thrown from the road and into a tree. The county commissioner is distrought as prosecutor Fred arrives.

AW: "Gawd-dam, Fred! What am I gonna do? The voters will go nuts if they know what a drunk bastard I am."

FT: "Dang, Alba- I am just gonna have to do something. Too many laws have been violated."

AW: "Aw, shit Fred."

FT: "Yeah, I figure this boy is guilty of breaking and entering, and that one in the tree is guilty of leaving the scene of an accident. What do you think about that?"

AW: "Gosh, Fred- I knew I could count on you."

NEXT WEEK FRED INVESTIGATES A DROWNING IN JENA: "Recon what made that boy think he could swim across the lake with all o' that chain?"

Seems to me he can't be that good of an actor either, he keeps forgeting his lines!

Of course he doesn't know about the Jena 6. Dick Wolf has yet to "rip it from the headlines" and script it for him.

Once Dick Wolf does the Jena incident on Law and Order Fred will have a whole sage speech about it ready. Or maybe by then the District Attorney on Law and Order will be Lane Smith.
