This Chris Crocker hysteria (I mean by the people that actually want this guy on TV, modeling jewelry, whatever) is a microcosm of what is wrong with western values today. I should not lump Europe in with North America, because I really don't know what Europe thinks of this guy.

But the fact that this freak is being flown half way across the continent speaks volumes about the value system in this hemisphere. The more extreme and bizarre a person is, the more the public seems to lap it up. At least a significant portion of the public.

People must lead a truly boring and sad existence if they need to spend any time following this guy and think he is entertainment.
