Networks Reject Rice Interviews: "No Longer Seems To Be A Key Player On The War"

Over the past two years, Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice has been on the Sunday talk shows 30 times, making her the most second frequent guest after Sen. Joe Biden (D-DE).

But that may be changing. In his Washington Post column, Howard Kurtz reveals that Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice is no longer a "prize catch" for the Sunday talk shows. She was recently turned down by both CBS and NBC:

The secretary of state has always been considered a prize catch for the Sunday talk shows. But when the White House offered Condoleezza Rice for appearances eight days ago, after a week focused on Iraq, two programs took the unusual step of turning her down.

Executives at CBS and NBC say Rice no longer seems to be a key player on the war and that her cautious style makes her a frustrating guest.

When Rice lied to sell the Bush/Cheney Iraq war, with threats of Mushroom Clouds, I knew that she was backing the wrong horse. Like Powell, she had all the chances to quit and show her disagreement with this Bush doctrine, but she chose to hitch her wagon to an incompetent, juvenile, frat boy, who did not know his left hand from his right. Well, serves her right. I hope she becomes as unpopular as her boss, and that she pays for aiding and abetting these war criminals.

I am glad the networks saved us all from a waste of time with Rice. She would have been on script, adding nothing of value to the national conversation on Iraq or international diplomacy. She needs to go back to school.

Rice has recently committed the sin of wanting peace with Iran. While she has been part of the most vile regime in US history, no one is pure evil (not counting Darth Cheney) and Condi is actually trying to stop the pending war on Iran.

This has put her on Cheney's shit list and this is why the major networks won't touch her.

I hope she is pissed off and goes AWOL on her team. She should get her ass to a secret secure location and tell all to the world about the criminal Bush administration.
