Media Matters For America:

During the September 19 edition of his nationally syndicated radio program, discussing his recent trip to have dinner with Rev. Al Sharpton at Sylvia's, a famous restaurant in Harlem, Bill O'Reilly reported that he "had a great time, and all the people up there are tremendously respectful," adding: "I couldn't get over the fact that there was no difference between Sylvia's restaurant and any other restaurant in New York City. I mean, it was exactly the same, even though it's run by blacks, primarily black patronship." Later, during a discussion with National Public Radio senior correspondent and Fox News contributor Juan Williams about the effect of rap on culture, O'Reilly asserted: "There wasn't one person in Sylvia's who was screaming, 'M-Fer, I want more iced tea.' You know, I mean, everybody was -- it was like going into an Italian restaurant in an all-white suburb in the sense of people were sitting there, and they were ordering and having fun. And there wasn't any kind of craziness at all." O'Reilly also stated: "I think black Americans are starting to think more and more for themselves. They're getting away from the Sharptons and the [Rev. Jesse] Jacksons and the people trying to lead them into a race-based culture. They're just trying to figure it out. 'Look, I can make it. If I work hard and get educated, I can make it."

'I think Black Americans are wondering how anyone as dumb as Bill O'Reilly could have enough brain cells to pump up his own lungs'.

Isn't that what it's about ?

who gives a fuck what color you are !

Sgt. Maj. John Rawlins' (Morgan Freeman) angry chastisement and dressing down of Trip (Denzel Washington) after he calls Rawlins "the white man's dog":

"And who are you? So full of hate that you have to fight everybody, because you've been whipped and chased by hounds.

Well that might not be living, but it sure as hell ain't dying. And dying's been what these white boys have been doing for going on three years now, dying by the thousands, dying for you, fool.

And all this time I keep askin' myself, when, O Lord, when gonna be our time?

Gonna come a time when we all gonna hafta ante up and kick in like men, LIKE MEN!

You watch who you callin' nigger! If there's any niggers around here, it's YOU, just a stupid-ass, swamp-runnin' nigger! And if you not careful, that's all you ever gonna be!"

Morgan Freeman, as Sgt. Maj. John Rawlins
GLORY

[ I love when he says "LIKE MEN" ]

The other great line in that movie is when the white soldier who Denzel Washington fought against shouted...

"GIVE'EM HELL 54 !!"

On my rifle range, I use his face for target practice.

O'Reilly, fat-assed chicken hawk.

I wonder what O'Reilly will say when he finds out women can vote now, too...

Well Billy boy, so you were surprised that you didn't hear "M-fer" not even once. I can tell you this if you ever show up at that restaurant again you will hear "M-fer" and it will be directed at you and rightly so..

O'Reilly "can't get over the fact" that black restaurants with black patrons are "no different than any other restaurant." Next, he might discover that Asians and Hispanics also eat in restaurants. Give him another 300 years, and Bill's on his way to being a open-minded.

Maybe BO's comments were not overtly racist. Without a doubt, they were patronizing, condescending, and fairly typical of one who has constipation of the brain and diarrhea of the mouth.

Didnt he do something similar to this a couple years back? I seem to remember the same kind of stupid remarks about Blacks during Katrina.

He also informed America's Jews, Muslims, Hindus, Bhuddists, Atheists, etc., in 2005, that they were "tolerated" in their own country!

He's bigot

No justice in this world. So many more people watch that evil O'Reilly than that wonderful Keith guy. Must be because so many more people watch Fox than PMSNBC.

I hate O'Reilly but I listened to the audio, he did not even come close to saying anything offensive. If you took some of the quotes and mixed and matched them it reads as totally racist. He is a piece of shit but taking his talk out of context and creating something it wasn't just gives credibility to his constant complaining about the biased liberal media. Let's not go there the repugs give us plenty of legit stuff to attack them for.

Hooray!!! We don't have to worry about systemic racism. All black people in all ghettos will now know they just have to knuckle down. And where will the jobs come from for all these new over-achievers?

How many more generations of black children have to be born into abject poverty to parents who were born into abject poverty. It's pretty easy to figure out what you need to do to achieve when you have bright, educated parents who haven't been beaten down. Otherwise, by the time you figure it out, it's probably already too late.

I'm a 60 year old white man who was given every opportunity in life. I guess growing up in the south helped me to see that it's just not that simple for those who weren't.

How to be a black success in America 175 years ago:
"Ole massah be waitin' for his toddy 'bout now. You be good boy and fetch it 'Memnon, and I 'mind you be a house slave 'fore you knows it."

Now they're up to running decent restaurants. Who'd have ever thought it possible.

O'Reilly does not seem like a stupid man. So he's either vicious or anxious to hang onto his base or both. Wait till my religion catches up to him: The church or What Goes Around Comes Around.

A-hole O'reilly is quite predictable. I am very disappointed in Juan Williams, however. But then again, they're both virtual slaves to the same master.

I think we need to see this all in context.

Bill is actually just making a late entrance in the “patronising tosser of the year” Awards.

And you know what. I think he stands a very good chance of winning.

Sorry folks, No story here and no Imas-like firings.

Your immense hatred for people that don’t share your views clouds your perceptions. All these racial uproars have eroded what legitimacy the black “victimization” movement had. Push more and expect a back lash.

'Think more and more for themselves.' That's more than can be said for Billo. What an asshole!
