Jenna Bush Dishes On Her Engagement: "He Said, 'Are You Excited?' I Was Like, 'I Don't Know!'"

DC Examiner :

Curious to know how exactly Henry Hager proposed to First Daughter Jenna Bush? The latest People magazine, which hits newsstands this Friday, has the details.

"It was 4 a.m. and Jenna Bush just wanted to sleep. She and her boyfriend, Henry Hager, were camping out in Maine's Acadia National Park, Aug. 15, and Hager had woken her up in the dark. His plan? To hike to the top of Cadillac Moutain, the highest peak on the East Coast. Jenna got up grogily, and the nature-lovers set off, wearing head lamps to light the way. As they neared the summit, Hager, 29, suggested stopping for an energy bar. Then as the sun began to rise, he proposed. 'I was in shock,' says Jenna, her custom-made platinum-set round diamond-and-sapphire ring now sparkling on her left hand. 'I acted the complete opposite of how I thought I would: I was quiet. He said, 'Are you exited?' I was like, 'I don't know!'"

He said, 'Are you exited?' I was like, 'I don't know!'"

But you got some in my hair.

He'd better get used to that dialogue, because it's going to come up (no pun intended) over and over, after they get married:

Jenna: "Is it in?"
Henry: "Yes dear"
Jenna: "Are you finished yet?"
Henry: "Yes dear"
Henry" "Were you excited"
Jenna: "I don't know, it was over so quickly.."

Poor Dork, marrying into that "family"

You seem to have a very unhealthy obsession with the future love life of someone you know little to nothing about and have never met.

Maybe you could talk to your therapist about that during your next session.

Children of politicians should be off limits.

Although child like describes her, her father, her mother and just about the whole Bush gene pool along with their beautiful minds.

Adults who get involved with the media to hock their wares are full game.

Especially when their father starts unjust wars that they are not involved in.

"...the top of Cadillac Moutain, the highest peak on the East Coast"

As far as I understand, this is incorrect.

Mt. Mitchell in western NC is the highest peak east of the Mississippi with an elevation of 6,684 feet.

But then the word Bush and the concept of truth are seldom found linked in any significant manner.

Favorite    Flag as abusive Posted 01:07 PM on 09/26/2007

Mt. Mitchell is indeed the highest mountain. But with the Bush/Cheney Crime Machine, everything they do ends with "est"... Like "Dishon-est"

I swear the collective reading comprehension amongst the huffstars is frightening.

See and I know this may be complex to many of you, northwest NC IS NOT ON THE EAST COAST.

You would think that would be fairly simple to figure out given our advanced maps, but no not for the huffstars.

I heard that Barbara said that Mt. Elbert was the highest mountain in Colorado. Turns out shes wrong because Everest is much (about twice) taller. Of cours Everest isn't in Colorado but why should that get in the way of a perfectly good slam on the kids of politicians.

I heart hufftards.

The use of the misspelled "exited" in the post here on this website was the choice of Arianna Huffington's editors. It has now been corrected.

The text of the article did not contain the same misspelling used by Arianna Huffington's editors.

God bless the troops.

Get your facts straight. The typo is also in the original article from the DC Examiner. Or do you need glasses?

Responsible citizens don't claim that Bush has done a great job as president, even if they're his kids.

That's just deluded.

Senator Lieberman slapped legislation that gives Bush the authority to attack Iran and also clearly states that intent, onto the Defense Appropriations Bill - this on September 21. The media has ignored it. HuffPo ignores it. This is serious folks.

HuffPo has become the Fox News for the left.

Enough garbage. We know this White House wedding stuff is to distract the more stupid among us. I guess buying Barney wasn't enough to soften the image of the Chimp of Death.

WRITE CONGRESS!!! DO NOT LIEBERMAN'S MEASURE TO ATTACK IRAN PASS!

I have sent many messages to my reps and DiFi has quit responding to them.
She is one big war whore (didn't tell her that) and votes with the GOP far too
often on issues of 'national security'. We need to defeat the GOP and then
cull out the rethug-lite Democrats like DiFi and Hillary.

Olivia, the latest Lieberman/Kyl legislation is merely a non-binding resolution.

However, on July 11, 2007, an amendment to a bill was passed by the vote of 97-0. That amendment, sponsored by Joseph Lieberman and others, was not a non-binding resolution, and stated in part that Iran is attacking the United States of America by attacking our soldiers in Iraq and the United States will stand united in response to these attacks. The Lieberman amendment passed unanimously on July 11th was an amendment to the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2008.
http://lieberman.senate.gov/newsroom/release.cfm?id=278727

Many have claimed this Lieberman amendment is "irrelevant", but I've been claiming since its passage that it is, indeed, the first step toward war with Iran.

I've been attacked by liberals here on Arianna Huffington's website for pointing out this amendment's passage, that's okay. At least you're understanding what your democratic majority in the Senate are deciding to vote on.

God bless the troops.

Linda:

I don't agree with you much, but I sure do agree with you about this, and it's scary to contemplate. The Iraq situation is bankrupting our country, we don't need a 3rd front and more $billions per month in deficits....

Hurry

It would not be amiss to read between the lines -- young Ms. Bush is apparently engaging in premarital sex. I am shocked. Shocked and awed. Her daddy and mommy should be mortified. Mortified! I am.

Who are you the morality police. Please provide a shred of proof that Jenna has come out and preached against pre-marital sex.

"Strange" is a relative word. Some people might find sitting on a toilet in a public john in front of a glory hole waiting for the next anonymous cock to poke through to be at least a little strange.

I wonder where the Secret Service is hanging out while all of this romance is going on? Do they sleep nearby around the campfire, take turns watching for terrorists in the woodlands, cook up a nice stew for the handsome couple? How does that work? Did the Secret Service applaud when Bozo popped the question? How does Jenna feel about her Papa vetoing the children's healthcare and then demanding $190 B for his outrageous *wars*?

"Well, like, I want you to, you know, like live with me and stuff", said Whiteman, fingering his money clip. "Wow!, squealed Chimp Girl. "Like, that is so, like ultraunbeliveably fantastic!"
"Well, um, praise jesus, like it means we'll have sex with each other," mumbled Whiteman, and i won't have to exit early."

Cadillac is only 1500 ft.

But Mt Washington wasn't on the coast, was it?

The highest mountain on the East Coast is Cadillac Mountain. It is located on Mount Desert Island off the coast of Maine.

Hey, you stupid Trolls

Thalia is correct.

Cadillac Mt. on Mt. Desert Island, Maine - 1.532 Ft.

Mt. Washington, New Hampshire - 6,288 Ft.

The term "East Coast" is used for all northeastern states and even includes some mid-Atalantic states.

If the writer wanted to be geographically correct, the wording should have been, Cadillac Mt. the highest eastern coastal point, located in Maine or on the east coast shores of the United States.
