Sen. Larry Craig won't resign from the Senate while awaiting a judge's ruling on his effort to get a guilty plea withdrawn in a restroom sex sting, a source said Wednesday.

Sen. Larry Craig is seeking to overturn his guilty plea stemming from an airport bathroom sex sting.

A judge in Minnesota was to hear arguments Wednesday afternoon in the case.

The Idaho Republican was arrested June 11 during a police sting in a Minneapolis airport men's room for allegedly making sexual overtures to an undercover male police officer. He entered a written guilty plea to a disorderly conduct charge in August.

Craig had said he would resign from the Senate if he could not get the guilty plea overturned by September 30.

translation, I just can't bring myself to give up all the money and perks i receive as a senator.
These guys are the problem with the government of the united states.
They are there to fill their pockets, not to do what is right for America.
Vote every incumbent out! Then maybe we can get average citizens in there for one term at a time. Like the founding fathers intended it to be.

Reportedly, Craig has a "nuclear option" compact with McConnell...if one gets outed, he will out the other. You can bet that any ethics committee action will be squashed.

veda--There is no evidence Sen. Craig intended to perform a blow job. Sgt. Karsnia was probably posing as a hooker offering services (such as blow jobs) to traveling businessmen. If the scenario had played out, Craig would have been giving money to Karsnia. In other words, Craig would RECEIVE the blow job.

The problems of pornography, prostitution, sex trafficking, child molestation and rape hurt every woman and child to greater or lesser degree. These are social ills and not personal failings on the part of the victims.

My suggestion stands. If adult males turned to one another more often for sexual gratification, perhaps the burden of the above social ills would not fall so heavily on women and children.

What don’t men direct more of their sexual aggression toward one another? Is it because they prefer to pick on people who are physically smaller?

thesitfortheotherone--Your focus is on turning the discussion into a personal attack. Nothing you've said refutes my argument that if more men engaged more freely in sexual activity with other men there might be two positive results:

1) More sexual satisfaction for men.
2) Less of a burden on women and children.

Some men indicate they find the idea of performing oral sex on another man unthinkable and repulsive. If this is how such men feel, how can they justify forcing women and children to provide this service?

Once again, we're right back to the widespread phenomena of pornography, prostitution, sex trafficking, child molestation and rape, all of which heavily burden women and children.
