Whoopi Goldberg and Sherri Shepherd were not pleased with comments made by Bill O'Reilly about black people, based on observations he made while dining with Al Sharpton in Harlem.

Earlier today they played audio of Bill and then said this on ABC's "The VIew":

independent voter if you can't see that billo's comments were a big thing, that is your problem. could it be, you share his disdain for people of color ... just wondering ... otherwise why try to protect the bigot?

I would like to treat Bill O' to a meal in a resturant in upstate NY in which you must pay when ordering because when you see them smelling the open cans they take the food from, you will surely want to leave. It is a pseudo-Mexican place run by gringos. Needless to say, we have been there only once.

Did I hear Whoopie say she liked this guy? Is she on crack? Where is her self-esteem. He is not only a bigot he also treats women like 2nd class citizens. "The View" is sinking like a rock.

Whoopie appeared on Bill O a few months back and managed to keep him in check. Sometimes the best way to get a bigot to change his mind is to talk to him.

LOL, she doesn't know if the world is flat or not, but she's somehow now qualified to speak on race in America.

O’Reilly was hoping for a reaction and he got it.

If we’re not talking about O'Reilly then he's got real problems.

As a Black person, and knowing the source of the remarks, I found it pretty funny. He’s surprised we’re not shouting expletives when we order our tea, funny.

I was channel surfing and I saw O’Reilly interviewing Congressman Charles Rangel, and O’Reilly was saying the most outrageous racists things to Rangel about the Katrina victims and Rangel looked so suave and debonair that evening, and he just laughed and ignored him and continued on with what he was saying. Then O’Reilly dejectedly gave up, and concluded the interview.

I rarely watch O’Reilly’s show and I always ignore the uproar regarding his latest rant. I treat him just as I do that drugged addled radio host Rush Limburg. I ignore them both and I think everyone else should do the same.

Lucille, You couldn't be more correct. If we would only refuse to give these yahoos the attention their airtime ratings require, they'd be sent back to Nowheresville where they belong.

I like your attitude, Lucille. Melonman, not listening to these jerks doesn't help the problem, which is that ignorant folks listen to them and follow their lead. We need to listen in order to point out how ludicrous Bill O, Rush and Hannity are. If I were selected for the ratings, I wouldn't list their shows.

No I'm not or any hallucinogens.

Congressman Rangel dresses like they did in the 40's and 50's. He often looks very dapper.

If you listened to the entire audio segment, Bill said because Sharpton has been on his show many times he offered to buy Al dinner one night. It doesn't surprise me that Sharpton took the opportunity to show Billy Boy a bit of NY that obviously Bill has never bothered to expose himself to before.

I agree completely. But without Bill O, my favorite, Keith Olberman, would have to turn his guns elsewhere. If nothing else, Keith is right about Bill and Rush...a great comedy team.

The philosopher Bertrand Russell once gave a public lecture on astronomy. He described how the Earth orbits around the sun and how the sun, in turn, orbits around the centre of a vast collection of stars called our galaxy.

At the end of the lecture, a little old lady at the back of the room got up and said: "What you have told us is rubbish. The world is really a flat plate supported on the back of a giant tortoise."

The scientist gave a superior smile before replying, "What is the tortoise standing on?"

"You're very clever, young man, very clever," said the old lady. "But it's turtles all the way down!"

Bill must only eat in "whites only" restaurants. They took the signs down but dont kid yourself, they still exist. I hear down in Louisiana they have "whites only" shade trees. For decades I have gone to clubs to hear performers like B.B. King, Bobby Bland, Johnny Taylor or the Count Basie Orchestra and in all my Sunday finest, I have always felt underdressed. His knowledge of Black culture is almost whelming. He needs to get out more and into some different neighborhoods. Dont any of his Black conservative friends ever pick the restaurants? Then again, maybe they do.

Bill O'Lielly is the biggest joke in the country. The guy has so many mental issues, he can't even tell the truth about what he had for breakfast. The guy will lie about where he lives to make it seem as though he's superior. Read one of Al Franken's books. It's hysterical, but then you realize you're dealing with a man, and I use that term loosely, that has severe mental problems. This is the same jerk off that said a child enjoyed being taken by a pedophile. He is the biggest douche bag around, and he shows the single digit IQ he has on a daily basis. His viewership is 70 to dead, with 1% ratings. His show should be a litmus test for weeding out the retarded and getting them proper care. Fux News has dumbed down this country at an incredible rate.

Lemme see now, we got one, Whoopie, who says torturing and killing dogs is a "cultural thing". We have another, Sherri or whatever her name is, saying that she doesn't believe in evolution, and the world may be flat. There's some serious thinking NOT goin' on there.

You will recall that Whoopi did not endorse what Vick had done. All she pointed out was that there are areas in this country that don't see anything wrong with dogfighting.

Do you not understand the difference between comprehension of why something happened and advocating it? In our current culture here in the US, we have this thing called a "rodeo," You take bulls and horses, tie a strap around them that hurts them and thus makes them buck, and then ride the animal as it writhes in pain trying to get that strap off.

We don't think there's anything wrong with that. Thus, would anybody be surprised to find that someone from our culture actively engaged in such activity? After all, the culture doesn't think it's wrong.

if she "understands" how it could happen, and doesn't follow that up with "but I condemn it", then she is advocating it.

Please don't fail to mention where that strap is placed, either. It's between their testicles and their penis, in one of the most sensitive areas of their bodies. But, hey...it's just for sport, right?

Or Spain/Mexico, where an animal is "played" with , picked at until it's neck and shoulder muscles collapse and then killed. At least sometimes, the bull gets even. I wonder what they do with the Bull after it gores a Matador ( which in Spanish, means "killer"- matar- to kill, dor- one who does).

It's a surprise that two normal, intelligent and sane women of color would be offended by this? That amazes me almost as much as the racist crap he said.

Favorite    Flag as abusive Posted 03:13 PM on 09/26/2007

Ginzaman, not to draw attention away from the issue on the table (O'Reilly proving once again what a racist, bigoted idiot he is) but "TWO intelligent women"? I think Whoopi is pretty sharp but let's not forget that only a week ago Sherri admitted on national TV that she didn't know if the earth was flat or round. My mouth is still hanging open in shock.

Can you explain to me precisely who "the black community" is? I mean, O'Reilly was trying to say that the black community has restaurants like white people do and so forth. Is your use of the phrase "the black community" any different?

I'm not black and I'm offended. Just takes brain power and some comprehension of this country's history to know why. Don't strain yourself, cautious.

It's not a reaction from the black community. It's a contrived reaction from O'Reilly's competitors in the news industry.

Anyone listening to the entire O'Reilly broadcast you'll realize O'Reilly was lampooning white people who EXPECT black people to be saying "where's my iced tea, M-fer"
