All types of alcohol -- wine, beer or liquor -- add equally to the risk of developing breast cancer in women, American researchers said Thursday.
"This is a hugely underestimated risk factor," said Dr. Patrick Maisonneuve, head of epidemiology at the European Institute of Oncology in Italy, who was not connected to the study.

Everybody should just cut this out. Relax with or without your favorite libations. Good genes, a positive attitude and an ability to accept change are all much more significant than anything else in longevity. Eat scrambled eggs and bacon for breakfast, take a nap after lunch, have a nice glass of wine with dinner. Sooner or later something will kill you. Legalize marijuana and calm down.
What if the women drinking more than a couple of drinks a day are also not eating well and/or are under more stress and/or other factors?
Unless one looks at the details of the study, one should be careful about accepting the results.

These findings come, no doubt, from some of the doctors who were telling millions of women how good estrogen replacement was for them.
