Director Rob Reiner, one of liberal Hollywood's most courted presidential fence-sitters, said Wednesday that he has decided to endorse New York Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton for the Democratic nomination. Her campaign staff is set to make the announcement today.

To seal the deal, Reiner also will throw a fundraiser party for Clinton's 60th birthday at his Brentwood estate Oct. 21.

"I've been around a long time in the political wars, and I've been on the front lines of them," Reiner said in an interview. "I'm interested in someone who can really manage those political waters.

Reiner is a disgrace.he is responsible for the myth of second hand smoke. His support of corporate controlled Hillaary shows where his interests lie....he would sell American Freedom out as fast as Clintons or neoCONS.

Rob, You're a thinking man. But I don't think you've thought this through. If Hillary gets the nomination, SHE--like no other Democrat--because their animus of the Clintons is so visceral, will mobilize the Republicans, and they will come up with endless fodder for their repugnant destroy machine. Add that fact to her nearly 50% negatives (of which 70% say they would not voter for her under any circumstance), then add the fact that she is thought of as a northeast candidate, and the Democrats, even with the country's disgust with Bush, could quite possibly lose the election. Do you really want to take that chance? The country simply cannot afford another Republican administration -- especially one lead by one of the bunch now running. Then, Take a good look at the matchup polls for the General Election. Clinton is doing worse than the other two leading Democratic candidates. Also, think about who among the Democrats is raising the most money in the South. If we are to come together as Americans, and stop this red/blue state divisiveness, we had better choose a candidate who can bring us together as Americans, and start winning some of those Southern states. That candidate, believe it or not, is John Edwards. Lastly, whose ideas have led this campaign from day one? Who has had the courage to come out with strong positions on UNIVERSAL Health Care, global warming, education, American jobs, and this immoral war, only to be followed, and often copied, by Hillary and Obama. If you have not read John Edwards' powerful speech he gave at Pace University recently outlining how, as President, he would fight Terrorism, go to his site. You will be astonished how strong, smart, and yes, wise, he is. And you just might want to re-think your important endorsement.

I couldn't agree more! It is only the Democratic "establishment" of this country who wants Hillary. I don't know a single person who feels it in his/her "gut" for Hillary. They just want to choose a "winner," and they think it will be her because the media says so. How pathetic! We choose our leaders because of the media? Hillary has no passion and no committment. She is a "rag doll," just like her husband! Sure she is better than Bush! Almost anyone would be! But, we shouldn't have to "settle" again. We deserve better! We deserve someone who is not afraid to commit, to make a decision, to stake a claim, to feel, to say what they mean and mean what they say! Is that really asking for too much in a Democratic Presidential candidate in 2008?

The ruling elite of this country have given their endorsement of Hillary. She met with the Bilderburg group and received their blessing as had Bill and Edwards.

Nobody like Obama or Kucinich or some of the others have been annointed by the Bilderburgers, so it won't happen. The status quo, of ruling elite and the corporate elite will go unchallenged.

THEY RULE.

Oprah endorses Obama there is outrage. Where is the outrage? A white person endorsing another white candidate is this racial? I guess its different I wonder why.

I like Rob Reiner, but his endorsement for Hillary has no more weight than Hillary getting an endorsement from the Geico Gecko lizard.

I'm not surprised. Reiner was always a de-facto Clintonista, this was just a formality, she always had his support.

Since she is the official candidate of AIPAC and will keep troops in Iraq from here until eternity. Who would you expect him to endorse. Maybe Rob would offer his bank account to foot the bill for the Zionists who push the buttons of war. There's a reason the Egyptians threw them out, they didn't know how to get along with their neighbors.

Right. Because Israel attacked the Arab nations when it was founded. Oh wait, that's not what happened. And Israel's leaders have said they want al their neighbors destroyed. Wait, nope, that didn't happen either.
You had a good point, but your last sentence is both ignorant and offensive. I do not support the AIPAC agenda, and I do not condone the atrocities of Israel. Nor will I stand for such bigotry as your contention about Egyptians throwing "them" out.
