What Happens When Obama Cancels "The View": Sex Talk And Bleeping

Senator Obama was the scheduled guest on "The View" today, but had to cancel at the last minute to attend a Senate vote. With an hour to fill and zero guests, the ladies turned to sex talk. By 11:50, they were getting bleeped and oversharing.

The truth of the matter is OBAMA had been very busy with photo shoots with celebrities like the "Talk Show Queen", pandering with Hollywood film makers about movie projects, going over his choice as to who will play him on a movie of his life, finally approving Denzel Washington. He has been busy with book reviews of his self serving book, and mingling with actors, celebrities etc.

That's all he has been doing for the last 3 years. Already he is been goofing around. How can you not know that the Senate is about to vote. Agent of Change ? OBAMA is hardly been doing what he was elected for .

On the other hand, THE VIEW, is going down and losing viewers. Of course OBAMA is aware of that, so he cancelled. So now, he figures he can get away with his excuse "Oh, by the way I have to cast my vote."

How much is HuffPro geting paid to post such rubish as the View openions? Give the adults here a break and dump the shallow dippy waste of air/space. The same goes for Mz Owful Winfrey and Bill Mahr. There is a marketing funnel at work here. The problem is that it focuses on the garbage such as Entertainent and living now issues that bleed over to Politics and Media.

Just because someone has a stage and a microphine does not mean they have a brain or any talent, Just look at Conan O'Brian.

Could be watchable when Sherry looses her glazed look, and they get rid of Elizabeth who is the blathering clueless blonde. Gives women a bad name that they try to hide stupidity by screaming in a shrill voice always talks over the guests. One wonders when is her baby due !

Iran's pres. is there today pledging that he and Iran will help Peru with developement and sales of their resorses. Apparently Peru has alot of proven gas and oil resourses...much is not evplored.

I can't help but to be struck by the pervasive domineering and selfish attitudes of those who insist that clips of The View not be posted on the site. It's one thing to criticize the content of The View but who appointed you editorial consultants?

Christ, there's like sixty different stories on the home page and there will likely be another sixty tomorrow. Where's your sense of appreciation and respect for the work that's put into the site, as well as a little bit of tolerance for diversity in the content? You have so much to choose from! Haven't you figured it out yet that the Huffington Post also includes topics on television shows and other forms of entertainment. Skip 'em if you don't want to see 'em. It's really not complicated.

By the way, I don't care much for The View myself but it's not all bad. I got a hearty laugh out of Whoopie's take on the Bill O'reilly controversy - which I probably wouldn't have seen otherwise if it weren't for HuffPo.

I only clicked on this story to make a comment: please stop featuring stories and video of "The View," unless something momentous is said or occurs--like an extended interview where Ms. Walters attempts to make [fill in name of disgraced Republican] cry, or a presidential nominee drops all pretense and speaks frankly, ending his/her career. Otherwise, we don't need this limp and shabby television program even filtering across our consciousness as our eyes scan down the page. If you're desperate to feature "talk" headlines, can't you call our attention to something else? You've already made the point of how degraded our culture is by alerting us to the brain dead among "The View"'s varied hosts, so let's move on.

I am glad that Ariana allows the View to be shown, I find it funny and engaging. Plus it is nice to see two African American women giving their diverse views. Maybe White America will realize African Americans don't look or think alike...

"Diverse" doesn't always have to mean black, and as an African-American I enjoy hearing alternate perspectives from different cultures.

I'd like to see more Latino-Americans, Asian-Americans and others on these kinds of programs -- it seems that Black people have made progress, and now, in my opinion, its time to open the door more widely for everyone.

The Home Page of the HuffPo apparently takes different stories from each of its sections. If you are only interested in politics then click on the Politics home page and you won't have to see The View ladies!
