Audio: Limbaugh Calls Iraq Vet "Staff Puke," Claims He Volunteered For War "To Pad [His] Resume"

Audio has surfaced of Rush Limbaugh viciously attacking another Iraq war veteran who was critical of President Bush's war policy.

Paul Hackett served in the 1st Marine Division in Ramadi and Fallujah during 2004 and 2005. When he returned home, Hackett was a vocal war critic and ended up running for Congress in a special election against Republican Jean Schmidt.

The Huffington Post obtained audio of Limbaugh smearing Hackett on his radio show in 2005. Limbaugh calls Hackett a "staff puke," claims he went to Iraq "to pad [his] resume," and attacks him as "a liberal hiding behind a military uniform." Listen:

JoeHuff-that is the point. Limbaugh makes a living out of marginalizing the people who make any comment that does not align with his perspective. Seldom can you hear Limbaugh address any subject matter without first demonizing, denigrating, ridiculing or otherwise besmirching anyone who offers a differing perspective.

What is occuring hear is Rush getting it back at him in spades (that's not a racial slur in case your unfamiliar with bridge).

I've listen to Limbaugh more than enough to question anything that echos out of the abyss of ignorance beneath his vocal cords.

You seem to be making the defense of so many of Rush's fans. Focusing on the syntax rather than the intended message. Rush is too far down the road to hide behind the cloak of innuendo, double-entente, clever implication sans direct statement, or the ruse of being taken out of context.
