James Carville Slammed For Brad Pitt Flick Cameo: "It's Like He Has ADD"

Brad Pitt may get top billing in "The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford." But the favorite scene for political junkies is bound to be campaign consultant James Carville's cameo as Missouri Gov. Thomas Crittenden. The man who put Bill Clinton in the White House gives a crisp performance, telling Ford (played by Casey Affleck) that he wants gunslinger James dead. All the same, director Andrew Dominik vows he'll never work with Carville again.

"I didn't want to hire him in the first place," Dominik tells us. "He came unprepared. He couldn't get his lines out right. It's like he has ADD. It took us three hours to shoot that one small scene."

But you gotta love him because he's Begala's evil twin. He's the math nerd who beats up other kids. He's the guy who's not afraid to say what needs to be said to whomever needs to hear it. He's "Wile E. Coyote, Evil Genius."

Any time I've seen him on TV I've thought he had ADD or he was on crack or something. His performances on Crossfire were bizarre. Good thing Jon Stewart killed that gig for all concerned.

It's a great thing that we have better spokespeople these days, like Cenk, Cliff Schecter (sp?), Markos, et al. Having Carville, Begala, and Colmes was worse than having no one at all.

What I find funny is that in the title:
"The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford." they call Robert Ford a coward but failed to mention the "piece of shit" that Jesse was. Is this where they spin Jesse James into some kind of national hero? Although, wouldn't it be funny to see Mary Matalin play Jesse and Carville play Robert Ford? But for the record, I haven't seen the movie...
