Country singer Faith Hill appeared on "The View" today. Almost as soon as she came out host Barbara Walters tried making a joke about Hill's husband, fellow singer Tim McGraw. Hill is currently on the cover of People magazine discussing a fan who grabbed McGraw's crotch during a recent concert appearance.

I've never seen the View and I don't get the reason that Huffington Post wants to keep us up to date with every episode.

Oh jesus christ. GenericBlogger (god, what a great name for somebody who doesn't get it.) You include human interest and entertainment stories mixed in with the serious stuff so that you draw people of all sorts who might not normally be intersted in strictly politics. I assure you that people who saw this page saw the big "we hate bush" headline of the day on the way in.

If you look at my past posts you will notice that I participated in some entertainment threads including those on The View.
I am aware that this blog is not just about news and opinions, it also has a significant portion allocated to entertainment, infotainment and other forms of fluff with little news value.
I am guilty of reading some of those articles. Lately I have been seeing less hard news and more fluff. Many others see the same and post similar comments. Remember, we all have the Freedom of Speech.
Before Faith came on, Whoopie said she would do Paul Newman and Joanne Woodward just to keep things even. Then Nancy Pelosi came on and her husband was sitting in the audience. The "View" women all said they would do him. He is nice looking. Then it was Faith's turn to hear what they would do to Tim. I was a little surprised by their statements. I rarely watch, but I wanted to hear Nancy Pelosi. Unfortunately, Elisabeth interrupted her mid sentence about three times. Barbara should have poked her in the ribs to shut her up.
It is only so much one can take of Elizabeth. With Sherry, I would say of equal intelligence, now sounds good ! Cute hair and smooth voice she has . That is how low our expectations have become !
Actually , on a second thought Sherry is a lot smarter than Elizabeth than one gives her the credit for. She says silly things, true, but knows when to talk and when let others, like Pelosi speak !
I too, watched to see Nancy Pelosi and was horrified when Barbara began the dialogue with her comment about "doing her husband." I had to wonder if she really understands the real meaning of the phrase. Someone should have shut up Elizabeth. Regardless of her politics, she has no manners and is so rude.
Faith Hill seemed a little upset over their crude statements. Imagine if Rosie had said something of this nature...I am sure the House and Senate would have passed a bill to condem her.
While I am a proponent of free speech, I am also a big fan of good manners. Love Whoopi and I find Joy honest and entertaining, but I cannot stomach this show anymore. Today just proved it!
