Former "Globe" Reporter On Tabloid Evils And Her Return To Jesus

White people are wierd. They don't even have the sense to keep their personal life personal. They just have no shame and are arrogant enough to think we care........it never ceases to amaze me the things people will say in TV.

She says: "Deep down I knew what I was doing was wrong."

Its ironic that she would say that while appearing on the 700 club

Call them Copulating Christians or F#ckin Jesus Freaks but fundies who watch or appear on 700 Club are kool aid drinking cultists. Life isn't simple. The black and white world of clear choices of the fundies doesn't exist. The alleged certainties and unchanging conditions fundies say the Bible tells of don't exist. The only constant is change. Regardless of what Preacher Pat says-the golden rule is- If you have the gold, you rule. Preacher Pat implicitly acknowledges this by constantly asking for money to fund his ministry. You must pay to get TV time.
The song, "It ain't necessalarily [sic] so" points out that the spectrum of choices is a multi-colored, multi-shaded thing. The starkly clear set of clear black and choices between good or evil is a myth.

Oh lordy, I'm sure this is the first time the Tabloid has ever asked her to put a caption to a photo she may have had objections to. Now, let's go back and scrutinize all of the articles she's written in a similar context to see if she's been truthful such as was done in the case of two journalist back east who were writting stories about people who didn't exist as if they were real sources, etc. - not that she's necessarily a journalist. But, she's obviously doing what is popular these days, that is, choosing to follow the path to instant wealth and to draw attention to yourself with something controversial, then annouce you've suddenly found Christ or let him back into your life, hope for an Opra invitation and then become a moral authority on ethics. At her age, she should be ashamed of herself!
Unlike her, the first time I was told to write something unethical, I wouldn't have had to go home first, think about it, cry my heart out and then write a resignation letter the next day. I'd of handed it to em' moments after their "obviously" bold request. But, why did she go to work for a tabloid to begin with given its publicly known controversial nature in lieu of her supposedly high ethics? She must have known this was likely to happen before she accepted her new job at a tabloid of all places.
REALLY - tell the truth! So, don't forget to mention that you were naive and sheltered as to why you accepted the job to begin with. But, don't forget to write in your book - how you always thought that tabloids represented serious respectable journalism to begin with and that this incident has helped you gain a stronger sense of morality but not in your own mind. On the contraty, it had to come through the authority and affirmation of the 700 Club, the real moral authority as we all know.
You know, a mind is really a terrible thing to waste - especially when you're responsible for wasting it yourself.

I love the way people who do shameful things think appearing on the 700 club and becoming superstitious somehow makes it OK.

I worked at the National Examiner, a sister tab to the Globe, for six months. (They, along with the Sun, shared the same building in Boca Raton, the AMI building that was targeted by the anthrax attack in 2001.)

Here's an example of the crazy stuff that goes on at a supermarket tabloid: I was once given a story idea about a woman in Italy who hired lonely fishermens' wives as hookers to make extra cash while their hubbies were out catching fish. I was told to look at a map of Italy and pick out the village, make up the woman's name and was told to pick out a paparazzi photo of an older woman from the company's vast library of international mug shots and say that was the woman. (Globe figures the odds of the woman seeing herself inthe article are so miniscule, they can risk it.)

It was wild making up an entire story from start to finish based on a one-sentence idea. But when the editors liked my work so much they wanted to give me the country music beat and start making up stories about actual people in the country music business, I quit.

Another time, we created a "story" about a bishop who injected himself with the AIDS virus to share the sufferings of his congregation. We didn't have a bishop's photo in the archives, so an editor went to a costume shop, rented a bishop's costume and dressed up one of our staffers as the AIDs-infected bishop and took a photo of him. When I asked why go through all the trouble, the editor explained that photos add more believability to the story.

The money was great, but so was the toll on my conscience. But the experience gave me a lifetime's worth of stories to tell about the bizarro world of supermarket tabloids!

all she did is jump from the fying pan into the fire. changed from one type of disgusting person into just another. she is an idiot and so far everything she has done and continues to do proves it.

Maybe she has some inside scoop on the Globe's continuing saga of the Bush's marital troubles.
