MENTAL ILLNESS is running rampant in repukes poor McCain ,sorry McCain but for your information Greenspan is the one who started this home mortgage mess in the first place by keeping interest rates to low thus causing the fake housing boom , of which we are now seeing the consequences of Greenspan feds policy while he was in charge and poor Ben is getting all the blame for Greenspans mistakes ,so McCain your nothing more then just another stupid nazi follower

It would seem to me to be political suicide to appoint a dead guy as head of the Fed. On the other hand most of their live appointments may as well have been dead.

McCain almost said something smart here:
I'd prefer most positions in the government vacant if McCain were elected as well. Absolutely nothing being done would be preferable to the damage his appointees would do.

Jokes aside, I think we need to let Greenspan's economic policies die. The economy under Greenspan has essentially done nothing to improve the lives of the average Joe, but have essentially consolidated the wealth in this society to a very few people of privilege who may/may not have actually worked to achieve that privilege. At the same time, the economy under Greenspan has been an intense roller coaster ride of constant instability. Moreso, the guy even went to bed with the Bush Administration in regards to the subprime morgage fiasco by encouraging this false economic boom purely to save Bush's backside in 2004 when the economy was still officially in the crapper.

The best thing about an undead Greenspan? His economic policy of "arrr, brains" might actually be more effective than the fraud he perpetuated upon this country for decades.
