Barbara Walters' ears must have been burning Wednesday night.

That's when Rosie O'Donnell mounted the stage at Roseanne Barr 's invitation during her late-night set at Comix on W. 14th.

Rosie started off by saying, "When I was fired by Barbara Walters" - the first time she didn't stick to "The View's" spin that her departure from the show was by mutual agreement.

Rosie claimed onstage that Walters and other "View" couchmates wear earpieces through which producers tell them what to say, which she refused to do.

Lately- the gals on the view have been getting slimy with all their dirty talk of doing peoples husbands and all that jazz... now- with rosie's astroglide revelation- they have really hit rock bottom- what ever happened to the shos once basic premise of being a show where diverging views came to the forefront- not the foreplay!

What gets me most is that when Rosie, and others, make the most outragious comments, they counter that they are "comedians­." Some of the things Rosie said were not very funny and as a "comedian" she is a failure!

Rosie is in good company with Harry Reasoner and Diane Sawyer, who were also screwed by Walters. When BaBa WaWa shafted Harry Reasoner she did not use Astroglide.

Rosie, remember when you used to be nice? Before you came out? Ellen did so with much more grace, and did not turn into a bully. You need to learn to shut your trap; you are out of control, and people are put off by you. You might not give a damn, but you will lose all of you friends. You are angry and need to stop, meditate, and enjoy your family. It is painful to watch you. Trust me.

I'm not a big fan of Rosie McDonalds, but Barbara Walters is duplicitous. You can never know when she's telling the truth. She spins like a top and when she gets caught in a lie, she lies some more. So she probably did fire Rosie.

I agree. I'm no fan of Rosie's either, but I am especially not so of Barbara. I didn't like the way that she got rid of Star, and I was happy to see Meredith find a niche for herself away from The View as well. I didn't always agree with Rosie while she was on that show, but she most certainly had a right to say whatever she believed. I'm also glad that Rosie gets back at her in this new tell-all book. And really, Barbara should have retired long before the View!
