New York Times:

The Iraqi prime minister's office said Sunday that the government's investigation had determined that Blackwater USA private security guards who shot Iraqi civilians three weeks ago in a Baghdad square sprayed gunfire in nearly every direction, committed "deliberate murder" and should be punished accordingly.

Iraqi investigators, supported by Iraqi witness accounts, have said unofficially that they could not find evidence of any attack on the Blackwater guards that might have provoked the shooting on Nisour Square, which the Iraqis now say killed 17 and wounded 27. But the Sunday statement by Ali al-Dabbagh, a spokesman for the prime minister, is the first indication that the government considers its investigation completed and the shootings unprovoked.

The end of America: The police state is right here, right now:

In April 2007, I was pleasantly surprised to find Naomi Wolf's article, "Fascist America, In 10 Easy Steps," posted in several places online. I have been a fan of Wolf for many years, greatly appreciating her works and especially her 1991 book, The Beauty Myth.

I had been looking for a list -- or more specifically, an encyclopedia of the losses of civil liberties in the United States that might clarify for my history students the extent to which America has become a fascist empire. Wolf's "10 Easy Steps" was perfect, but her just -- published book, The End of America: A Letter of Warning To A Young Patriot, from which the 10 easy steps was compiled, offers an even fuller picture -- a succinct and engaging explanation of how our civil liberties have been hijacked in the past decade. http://onlinejournal.com/artman/publish/article_2445.shtml

The GOP’s version of the 10 Commandments

ONE: 'You shall have no other gods before Me.' Proviso depends what you mean by God and how much money is involved.

TWO: 'You shall not make for yourself a carved image--any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth.' Proviso unless it’s for the campaign then little baby Jesus is fine.

THREE: 'You shall not take the name of the LORD your God in vain.' Proviso its fine when refusing universal health care for example, God those commie liberals.

FOUR: 'Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy.' Sunday opening is fine; God wants you to shop until you drop.

FIVE: 'Honor your father and your mother.' Except when they are liberal children of the sixties, hence they are totally godless.

SIX: 'You shall not murder.' Unless the President says it’s fine, this can also be outsourced legitimately.

SEVEN: 'You shall not commit adultery.' You must be a member of the GOP to have a waiver.

EIGHT: 'You shall not steal.' Your corporation will do that for you, and if you were voted in as a Republican where stealing is classified as doing business.

NINE: 'You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.' Unless they are godless pinko commie liberals in which case call the NSA.

TEN: 'You shall not covet your neighbor's house; you shall not covet your neighbor's wife, nor his male servant, nor his female servant, nor his ox, nor his donkey, nor anything that is your neighbor's.' Use rule 9 then move in.

The Democrats should force Bush to choose between funding Blackwater or funding poor children's health care. I would just love to see him veto that.

that's easy without Blackwater we may have an attack on children, first Blackwater to keep us save , then problems solving for children.
PS: The U.S. military said the American troops shot the three civilians Thursday near a checkpoint manned by local members of a U.S.-allied group helping provide security in the village of Abu Lukah, near Musayyib, a Shiite-dominated town 40 miles south of Baghdad. Where is the outrage?

Blackwater is above the law.

Iraqi civilians do not matter. All that matters is oil and arms profits.

The people of Iraq and the Middle East need to realize that they mean nothing to George Bush or the Facists that control the US governement.

Americans will kill every man, woman and child in the middle East if it means Oil profits in the pockets of the Bush's, Cheney's and the criminals behind them.

Shooting Iraqis is target practice for Blackwater. Money and profit is the game.

Thank Democrats -like Susan Davis (D-CA)- for funding the killing of innocent Iraqi civilians.

PS: where is the outrage? oh I forgot they don't make as much money as the Blackwater team, so they can afford to hit civillians

"The people of Iraq and the Middle East need to realize that they mean nothing to George Bush or the Facists that control the US governement."

They knew this from the start of Shock & Awe.

80% of Iraqis want the US/UK out. It's the puppet Govt. that wants the US/UK to stay. Its obvious as to why that is.

Blackwater & other Mercs are Busholini Terrorist Malitias.

Turkish troops killed in PKK clash

Kurdish fighters have killed 13 Turkish soldiers in a clash in Turkey's southeast, and troops responded by shelling an area near the Iraqi border, according to the military.

The Kurds lauded in the US as freedom fighters against Saddam, looked at as terrorists by Turkey and Iran.

Will the US defend the Kurds against Turkish reprisals, or just deny any responsibility as usual.

Top Iraqis Pull Back From Key U.S. Goal
Reconciliation Seen Unattainable Amid Struggle for Power

By Joshua Partlow
Washington Post Foreign Service
Monday, October 8, 2007; Page A01

BAGHDAD -- For much of this year, the U.S. military strategy in Iraq has sought to reduce violence so that politicians could bring about national reconciliation, but several top Iraqi leaders say they have lost faith in that broad goal.

Iraqi leaders argue that sectarian animosity is entrenched in the structure of their government. Instead of reconciliation, they now stress alternative and perhaps more attainable goals: streamlining the government bureaucracy, placing experienced technocrats in positions of authority and improving the dismal record of providing basic services.

They were only following the bu$h/cheney USURPATION et al's policy of "pre-empitive" war (or slaughtering innocents that were NO threat to us if you want to read it more honestly) with ZERO accountability.

blackwater is only in training to be used AGAINST AMERICANS (again-only WORSE next time).

You can always count on the left to just accept at face value whatever bullshit the Arabs throw at them. It just doesn't register with them that lying and playing the victim is just the normal culture over there.

Playing the victim?

Well at least 100,000 times directly.

Half a million more indirectly.

4.2 million forced from their homes.

Cholera becoming epidemic.

Thats an awful lot of play acting in Iraq.

Iraq should tell Blackwater to get the fuck out of their country. And if Bush does not like it, fuck him! Iraq is still a sovereign nation, we don't have nay right to cram Blackwater down their throats. How many more insurgents did this little murderous episode create? How many more tired and frustrated Iraqis are now going to turn against any and all American presence in their land? You can't blame them for rejoicing when our soldiers die.

We cannot ever "win" in Iraq. First of all, there is no war to win. Because no one declared any war, as far as I know. Did I miss something and it somehow escaped me that congress declared war?--just asking, since congress alone is able to declare war. That DID NOT HAPPEN!

Unfortunately, if they send Blackwater back to the US, then we'll all have to deal with these murdering rednecks. These are Bush's personal killers. What happens when he unleashes them on us?

It is time for impeachment to be put back on the table, Pelosi...
