Randall Rolph said he came to New Hampton, Iowa, on Sunday to see Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton (D-N.Y.) with an open mind about whether to support her candidacy. After a tough exchange over Iran, he left saying he had ruled her out.

Rolph was one of several hundred people who turned out in this small town in northern Iowa for Clinton's appearance. When she called on him for a question, he pulled out a piece of paper and read a question about Iran.

Rolph asked Clinton to explain her Senate vote Wednesday for a resolution urging the Bush administration to label the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps a terrorist organization. Rolph interpreted that measure as giving Bush authority to use military action against the Iranians.

did you know that Barack Hussein got this magic wand from Indonesia?!? Once he waves it and says "abracadabra":
poverty will disappear in America, New Orleans will be restored, everyone will have health coverage, cars will drive on rain water, Israel and Palestine will become one, there will be peace in the middle east, the terrorists will sing "God Bless America" and all nuclear weapons will vanish off the face of this earth

Poof! Magic!

Well at least we can now see the self-delusional rationalizations that led Ms. Clinton to support the Iraq war and will lead to her justifying other major acts of aggressions committed by our Chimp in Chief. This is a woman who is either clever by half or a woman easily duped by the men in her life.

Scary prospect for a Presidential candidate.

The typical yellow dogs in the Democratic Party will do every thing they can to stop any criticism of any preselected canidate or policy.

The typical GOP hardliner in the Republican Party will do every thing they can to stop any criticism of any preselected canidate or policy.

The fix is already in. Perhaps it can be repaired with ethics but perhaps not. Much of the filler for the sausage is already ground into bits. They will stuff it in some casing, package it and then sell the stuff as prime cut. It stinks.

While I wouldn't categorize myself as a 'Huffer', I'll respond to ResidentChimp's request:

My opinion relates to not only if Clinton gets the Democratic nomination (be careful not to use 'Democrat' as an adjective, one might confuse it for Rove-speak). I also find a whole range of those running to be objectionable.

Things have gotten to the point where both party hierarchies are simply ignoring the pleas of the people. If it takes a thousand years, the voter needs to be increasingly emboldened to vote conscience, including a candidate who runs as an independent. Short of this nothing will change.

It may mean getting the worst, ie. W., but the worse it gets, the more likely we are to finally wake up to the reality that the parties are anti-democratic, even anti-republic.

To say the least I'm perplexed with the results of polls and the money trail. I thought people are looking for a President who is adamantly against the war and the engagement of Iran. So are polls wrong or are people throwing their vote towards the most likely candidate. Why would you support a candidate that is not truly against the war and potentially expanding the war into Iran? Do you support Hillary Clinton's position regarding the War and Iran?

Maybe the reason that HRC heard this question so often is not that it was a Republican plant but rather because Democrats want to understand how she can accuse Bush of having misused Congress's vote as an authorization for war back in 2003 and then vote to support legislation that he could conceivably misuse in the same way to shock and awe the Iranians. Damn it, where is her learning curve?

I third it, and would furthermore like to add:

Many say that the Iran vote is non-binding and doesn't include a military option. Even if this is so clear: Why did they have to declare the Revolutionary Guard Corps a terrorist organization anyway? Was it really so important?

Hillary is a TOOL, and every activist I know, knows it.
I am convinced that the bulk of her supposed support is coming from Repukes that know how to game the system ( something they are extremely good at...cheating ).

As a sidebar, does anyone ever audit the polltakers? Seems to me there should be a grading system where anyone could track their accuracy or lack of it.
I guess those Enron accountants had to go somewhere.

It is to my understanding that Hillary Clinton called this Iowan a, 'plant.' Does anyone know if -- after she took her foot out of her mouth -- Hillary Clinton actually has any hard evidence that this Iowan was actually a, 'plant'; or is this just part of Hillary Clinton's, 'vast left-wing conspiracy' theory ???

Of course, she couldn't use the usual deflection tactic of calling his question a, 'hypothetical', because her vote is on record, so instead, it reared it's ugly head and called an Iowan a, 'plant?' Talk about your chutzpah & arrogance leading to many lost votes for old Hillary.

This Iowan should be given a GOLD MEDAL, for he captured -- for ALL to see -- what many have known all along; Hillary is NOT running a flawless campaign.

Just chalk it up to but just one more 'Yee-Haw Moment' for Hillary Clinton, ala, Howard Dean.

I haven't seen this at Huffington Yet.

They just found out that Berger is advising Clinton! You know, the criminal that stole and shredded documents to protect the Clinton culpability in not going after Osama from being exposed!? Anyone willing to commit crimes for the Clintons? come on board! The new Clinton train of corruption is on it's way to the WhiteHouse.

I have never understood why the left so loves this corrupt couple. They rail and rail if they see corruption on the Republican side, libs invent corruption for Republicans so they can be "horrified" and then they cover up any crime the Clintons commit. Berger advising Hillary....is there any doubt the Clintons sent him in to shred the documents he shredded?

Actually, the left is not particularly fond of Hillary. It's more the conservative, Bush-leaning side of the party that favors Hillary - oh, that and women with highschool diplomas - at least that's the demographic.

Edwards - Middle class Americans

Obama - Highly educated, black and college.

There is no reason to invent corruption for the Republicans. Sorry, the problem liberals have is just trying to keep up with the corruption being perpetrated by the Republicans.

And if you educate yourself you would know that liberals don't march in lockstep formation behind any candidate like Republicans do. We don't need to consult with any party sponsored line of the day in order to know what we can talk about or what to say.

Damn straight. Hillary Clinton spews more bullshit than a manure spreader.

She's thoroughly corrupt. She's bought-and-paid-for by every big interest in town. She's controlled by the Israel lobby. She's for the Iraq war, and she just voted for the war-enabling Kyl-LIEberman amendment.

Need I say more?

A nice glimpse at Hitlery.

I bet she can't wait to be President so she can screen out free thinking Americans from all of her speaking engagements.
Those damn pesky citizens with their god damned peaceful objectives must be put in their place.

This disgusting display by Hillary should be viewed in the context that the DLC rulers of the once great Democratic party, want her to win. They are forcing a three way race on us and marginalizing good decent people like Kucinich and Richardson.

The Democratic party is broken.

This is one move for people who are (painfully) facing reality. The Democratic party lives on in name only. War-mongers like Hillary and the DLC run the show so what should we do?

http://www.gp.org/

Pretending that Democrats will save the nation make help you sleep better at night, but it is a false hope. Work for Kucinich and let us hope for a miracle where he is concerned. Once the DLC bounces him from the race, the Green party is the best move.

Peace.

While this is prompting the usual discussion about Hillary which is Hillary's double speak this brings out another important character flaw of Hillary that the media is not covering: LACK Of TEMPERAMENT

When she is really pressed to explain difficult issues her response is trying to muzzle her questioners by accusing them either they are part of THE VAST RIGHT WING CONSPIRACY or the person is SENT (planted) by another campaign instead of formulating a convincing response.

This is a legitimate question. Does she have the appropriate TEMPERAMENT?

Will Arianna and the gifted blog columnists raise this important issue about Hillary?(Because the corporate media won't)

Does she have the right TEMPERAMENT to be an effective leader?

Kevin Phillips in his book "American Dynasty" voices his concerns about anointing another family(the Clintons) as political heir apparent in this country. If we do not seek real change we will have to hunker down and get the changes incrementally as reality forces our government to change its course or worse decides again on a reactive posture.

The threads that continue this pattern is our extreme discomfort of depending on other nations for our fate. We are going to have to make up our mind if we can broaden our horizons to develop trust with other countries rather than belligerency. Ms. Clinton continues to think we must quietly threaten weaker Sovereignties who most theoretically could do harm in order to bring a peaceful world. Do we buy it? If so, you will be voting for her. If not someone else will get your vote.

Further to date there is no credible evidence that Iranian special forces are responsible for the attacks in Iraq directly or indirectly.

There's no way they can "sell" war on Iran. So what are they going to do to us, in order to pull it off?

olivia , How will they sell more wars? It is called a false flag or black operation.

The term black op has two related meanings:

"Black operation" which is a type of covert operation. In this context, "black" is a term used in political, military, intelligence, and business circles to refer to activities that are either secret, or of questionable ethics and/or legality.
"Black operator" or "black operative", the person(s) who specialise in or carry out this type of operation.
Black Ops missions often fall into the deniability category, where no government will claim responsibility for the action, or where responsibility is shifted to another actor in the case of a "false flag" operation. This type of operation is normally used by various secret services to achieve some goals while trying to operate secretly (so the connection between "black operations" and secret agents or even the country of their origin cannot be found). The methods used in black operations are also used in unconventional warfare and includes actions like assassinations, espionage, sabotages, and supporting of resistance movements.
