Weighing in again on the Don Imus controversy, the National Association of Black Journalists Tuesday said the radio personality who outraged many with his comments about "nappy-headed ho's" should not be allowed back on the air.

NABJ called reports that Imus is in negotiations with Citadel Broadcasting and Fox News "unimaginable."

"It seems inconceivable that less than a year after Imus was dismissed from CBS Radio and MSNBC for his vicious insults upon the Rutgers women's basketball team, that Citadel Broadcasting and Fox News would consider putting him back on the air," Ernie Suggs, NABJ's vice president of print said in a statement. Suggs is an enterprise reporter at the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

As soon as the devout racists at the "NABJ" condemn with the same veracity Al "Tawana Brawley" Sharpton and Jesse "Hymietown" Jackson, they might rise above the accurate moniker of "disgraceful opportunists and hypocrites"

Right, and these same guys are also demanding that all their hip hop 'artist' brothers be banned from spouting their mysogynist, racist, hate filled garbage. A bunch of hypocrites from the Victim Parrots cage spouting their mantra, 'Po me blames a cracker'. This crew of victims will never get any respect until they show some self respect.

What is funny is the demonstration of the general ignorance of those who have posted here. Some can see the black rappers, but not the white media moguls who push this crap, they can see the filthy lyrics, but not the suburban white kids who are the majority of those ingesting these things.

It is once again a typical display of foolishness, fear and sterotypes by those filled with far too much emotional and psychological baggage.

How shameful that any journalist would advocate such a position, which runs contrary to free speech principals. Any individual not wanting to hear Imus can simply turn to another station. Is that what we're coming to...if you don't like what someone has said, FIRE THEM!

Go screw yourselves NABJ.

William Raspberry just wanted Imus's job. Censorship is just a form of affirmative action.
Get the white guy fired and pressure the network
to hire a black.

Can somebody please tell me what's the difference between Bill O'Reilly and Imus? Bill O' still has a show. He's a racist pig and nobody cares! Freedom of Speech is just that, it doesn't mean your gonna like everything you hear. If you don't want to listen to Imus....I know this is difficult for some of you but here's what you do....YOU DON'T LISTEN TO HIS SHOW!!! See how simple it is.

An example of the black journalist group dealing in yellow journalism...
Imus is not a racist. He made a bad joke and got badly burned for it. More damage is done by people like Al Sharpton and his Tawana Brawley (sic) crap was far more damaging to the black community than anything someone like Imus has ever done. I get embarassed for Joe Scarborough and his patently stupid comments on the replacement "morning joe" show. Imus is/was an entertainer who could attract some of the very best guests ever on a morning show. He has become a crotchety old fart lately, but his wit is till mostly sharp. Tell the NABJ to go to hell. Worry about what it is you as a group are reporting.

Imus lost his brain cells by doing drugs in the 1960s and 1970s. O'Reilly never had the brain cells in the first place, he was born that dumb.

Not at $4.00 a share. It is just one of those rumors. Terrestrial radio is as dead as smoke signals. Soon the FCC with shut it down and give the bandwidth to something useful like garage door openers.

They should same the same about Beck, Malkin, Limbaugh and even Sharpton. And include any others that spew hate such as the likes of Farrakhan.

If Bush and Cheney haven't completely taken it away, Imus and all the above have a right to be on the air and others have the right to not listen to him.

Which means that corporate media racism is alive, well and extremely profitable.
