Giuliani: Our Economy "Is The Last Best Hope Of Humanity"

During the Republican presidential debate Tuesday, Rudy Giuliani told the audience that America has the "strongest economy on earth, it is the last best hope of humanity."

Republican presidential hopefuls Mitt Romney and Rudy Giuliani quarreled over tax and spending cuts Tuesday, each claiming greater commitment than the other in a debate in the nation's struggling manufacturing heartland.

The government "is spending money of future generations and those yet to be born," added Fred Thompson, making his debut on a debate stage after a late entry into the race. He said future retirees should receive smaller Social Security benefits than they have been promised.

Why I can't vote for Guiliani.

Guiliani lied about his participation during the 911 attack. NYC FF disputes his attendance during and after the critical hours of the attack. That he was name America's Mayor, Man of the Year, and Knighted by Queen Elizabeth is preposterous.

Guilani's failure to strategicaly locate the Office Of Emergency Management caused the deaths of many fire fighters and first responders. He should be investigated for that.

Guiliani's was a partner of a law firm that promotes the interests of polluters; Guiliani was an aggressive lobbyist for the special interest.
.
He fliped floped his positions on abortion, gun control, and gay rights to gratify the Conservative Rights.

Guiliani's personal life is a fair target for discussion. He was a philandering husband during his last 2 marriages. He was never a good father. Never attended their birthday parties, graduation or special evets. His 2nd wife got custody of his 2 children, and they do not have any ongoing relationship. These prior wives were terribly abused and humiliated in public because of his womanizing. His daughter dropped the Guilianni name. In between his marriages, he was having an affair with many of his staffers. He is now married for the 3rd time.

The extent of his economic policies and America's global economic standing in the world is pathetic to say the least. My mom, a school teacher, is far more conversant in national and international economics.

Guiliani is not a good man, and it is unthinkable that any one will vote for him as President of the United States of America. Impossible.

The U..S. economy---a house of cards based on a fiat paper money system issued carte-blanche by a banking cartel with political connections....yeah, a real secure foundation. Guiliani overlooked China, which is poised to dwarf us as we become more and more mired (especially under a Guiliani Presidency) in the machinations of a Warfare-Welfare-Corporate Imperium. Is Ron Paul the only candidate among Repubs and Demos alike who understands economics and the banking system? It's beginning to look that way.

It may be the "last best hope" for democracy, but our economy is sinking faster than a led balloon thanks to globalization, outsourcing, the "money changers", and the foreign lobbyists who seem to have far more influence over our political representatives than do our citizens and U.S. strategic interests.

Rudy is a putz. What he would do as president is continue the madness and then make it even worse.

Um... let's see. China manufacturers the vast majority of what we purchase. Our manufacturing facilities are already overseas. We have NOTHING they need or value. We have none of the industry to PROVIDE what they need and value. THEY have all of our money. We aren't cost competitive with respect to what they can purchase.

Face it, Rudy, the game is over. The day nations cease trading oil in dollars and switch to the Euro our economy is finished. AND YOU KNOW THAT FOR A FACT. That day is coming and it's coming on YOUR lifetime.
