Americans Against Escalation In Iraq, the major umbrella group organizing activism against the Iraq war, is pushing out an ad later today blasting the GOP '08 frontrunners for their claims about Iraq during yesterday's CNBC debate, and praising Rep. Ron Paul (R-TX) as "the only GOP candidate who gets it on Iraq." Take a look:

How is it possible that any thinking, breathing, cogent person doesn't support Ron Paul on the basis of his stand on Iraq alone. The other candidates of both parties are unabashed warmongers...and for what? Sane, rational review of the facts of US foreign policy for nearly a century can only come to one conclusion and that is the current wrath unleashed at the US is a DIRECT RESULT of our past actions! As you sew, so shall you reap. Ron Paul is the ONLY candidate who has advocated nonintervention and consistently voted the same for 20 years. What is so radical about that, I wonder.

Ron Paul's highest priority as President will be to get the US armed forces out of Iraq and detente with Iran. You may disagree with him on other issues but keep in mind, NONE of the Democrats who have a chance at winning and certainly not Hillary, the current frontrunner, will do anything other than continue or escalate the war. Change your affiliation if you must, elect your favorite Democratic representative but please vote for Dr. Paul in the primaries if coming home from Iraq is important to you.

Ron Paul has been against the Iraq war since the beginning and by that I mean the Iraq Liberation Act of 1998. H.R. 4655 which, "Declares that it should be the policy of the United States to seek to remove the Saddam Hussein regime from power in Iraq and to replace it with a democratic government."

Ron Paul's response on the floor of the House, "I see this piece of legislation as essentially being a declaration of virtual war. It is giving the President tremendous powers to pursue war efforts against a sovereign Nation. It should not be done casually. I think it is another example of a flawed foreign policy that we have followed for a good many decades...."
