I Like ItI Don’t Like It

From Roll Call's Heard on the Hill:

One might think it would be great to have Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) as a neighbor (imagine the block parties!). But the Speaker apparently is not making herself popular in her high-dollar 'hood, telling reporters on Tuesday that protesters have taken up residence outside her house and are driving the natives wild.

"I've had four or five months of people sitting outside my home, going into my garden in San Francisco and angering my neighbors," Pelosi said at a gathering sponsored by the Christian Science Monitor.

Pelosi added that the squatters have engaged in decidedly non-neighborly behavior like hanging their clothes from the trees; moving in sofas, chairs and other "permanent living facilities"; and, oddly, building a large Buddha on the sidewalk in front of her home. "You can just imagine my neighbors' reactions to all of this," she said. "And if they were poor, and they were sleeping on my sidewalk, they'd be arrested for loitering, but because they have 'impeach Bush' across their chest, it's the First Amendment."

Well Nancy, if you want them to move, then you know what you have to do

Start impeachment proceedings and make sure they go through.

Until you do, you should be rotting in prison for enabling criminals.

what a whore. she didn't vote against the resolution calling iran's guard a terrorist group but she is complaining about people protesting in her high dollar neighborhood and allowing a run up to another war.

Too bad Pelosi. You have now reached your level of imcompetence. You were elected and made a leader to stop the Bush illegal war, you have not done that, you do not have a clue. Don't worry though, in 2008, Cindy Sheehan will beat you and you and your neighbors can again enjoy " peace " and " quiet " It is difficult to tell you how disappointed I am in your leadership and Senator Reid. You both kowtow to Bush. The repubs love it, you can see it in the smirk on their faces. You two are worthless.

Impeach, end the war. Then we'll start being more appreciative. Or at least make an attempt for the love of god.

When the Constitution is being shredded, and the congress has colluded in stuffing the Supreme Court with more neo-cons, every citizen should stop being concerned with politeness and start being concerned with getting our rights back.

Pelosi is part of the problem - and if her neighbors don't like U.S. citizens exercising their right to petition their representatives with their grievances, shame on them.

Would they prefer to live in Putin's Russia? Well that's the way the U.S. is heading.

About the only thing worse than these idiots are you idiots on here that do not have a basic sense of decency. I appreciate when someone disagrees with someone else but they are breaking the law and should be dealt with as such. If I lived next to her I would have my sprinklers on all day long. I think for everyone's bravado, if the same thing was happening to them they would have a change of heart. That is assuming you have a heart.

I guess you also think our founding fathers shouldn't have participated in the Boston Tea Party either, because it probably caused some of the neighbors some inconvenience and may have been deemed indecent.

Impeachment is in the constitution. It is part of the checks and balences to ensure that our president OBEYS the constitution. We live by the rule of law. (ha ha)

Pelosi said "impeachment is off the table".

Pelosi is a corrupt politician who is not intersted in the rule of law or our constitution. She is interested in political gain. She and the demoratic big wigs decided impeachment should be "off the table" because it would be advantageous to democrats.

Now Miss Nancy is whining because average citizens have the audacity to speak up against her failure to fulfill her obligation under the constitution. They have the audacity to protest outside her multimillion dollar mansion in Pacific Heights, SF. Oh and her rich neighbors are perturbed too.

Dear Miss Nancy. You're breaking my heart.

It is true that the Democrats do not have the vote for impeachment, unless they are joined by intelligent Republican Congressmen; there are too few intelligent Republican Congressment. Impeachment is off the table because the vote is not there and when Bush invades Iran, declares marshall law as a wartime measure, and suspends elections in 2008, it will be too late for impeachment and the people can only hit the streets in rebellion. The question is, when and if the people were to rebel, would the American military establishment support the people or President Bush? Think about it? Do you trust General Petraeus to support the people or the President? Let us all rise and sing 'The Battle Hymn of the Repbulic'! American citizens should begin memorizing the words!
