Untraceable Emails Spread False Obama Rumor

When Fox News aired a report in January claiming that Sen. Barack Obama had been educated at a radical Muslim madrassa, his campaign beat the story back -- hard -- with the candidate himself going on television to call it "ludicrous" and a "smear."

And his aggressive defense worked, or so it seemed at the time: The notion that Obama has secret Muslim roots faded from the mainstream media, and even from most conservative blogs and magazines.

Oh, I don't know. Why would she do that? She's clearly ahead and will gain more ground over Obama in the coming months. This has a great potential to backfire if she's in any way connected to it. To me it seems very Rovian.

I think all e-mails are traceable, otherwise Bin Laden and his groups could communicate freely without concern of discovery and all this wire tap crap is pointless, unless you want to spy on your (domestic) political enemies. Let's withhold judgment here before pinning this on the Clintons. And I am not a Clinton supporter, but there are just too many people who would benefit from this, including perhaps Obama himself.

The only way to win this so called "War on Terror" (which I still think is funny, declaring war on an emotion...­it's even more ambiguous than declaring war on drugs), is to understand the people that are behind the terror that the US is actually trying to protect itself from. Does anyone think that a leader that can't tell the difference between a Sunni and Shia (which is the Christian equivalent, though much more extreme, of the difference between Eastern Orthodox Church and Roman Catholicism) can understand and work to counter the reasons that Islamic extremists have declared a war on us? All Bush can do is shoot bullets in the air, and a lot of these other candidates aren't much better. They're not sure if they should be fighting against Islamic extremism, or if they should be negotiating with them. Hillary is right smack on top of that fence.

Obama is a Christian, but his father was a Muslim. He grew up a Christian, but he learned a great deal firsthand about Islam and he understands the intricacies of Islamic society. By understanding these motivating factors, his potential for effective negotiation and diplomacy becomes much greater. The "War on Terror" can be won, but it will never be won by a gun.

Your positive on that? Even with all the anonymous email services out there today.
They might be able to trace it back to a certain server, or even a computer. But they cant always trace it back to a person. What if its sent from a library, coffee shop or college computer?
And if they can trace it, as you say, then why havent more illegal emailers , like those Nigerian scams been caught?

I think if you actually looked into it, and not just insisted your right because you know your right, you might be surprised as to how anonymous you can be on the net.
