Julia Roberts was honored in Hollywood Friday night with the 22nd Annual American Cinematheque Award. Costars such as Denzel Washington, Tom Hanks and Natalie Portman attended to roast and toast her, but George Clooney could not attend. According to E!'s Marc Malkin, this is what he did instead:

George Clooney wasn't able to make it, but he sent a video tribute. Gushing over his Ocean's costar while sitting in a bathroom stall, Clooney suddenly found himself in a Sen. Larry Craig situation. Someone was in the next stall trying to tap shoes with the Hollywood hunk.

When Clooney jumped up and quickly opened the stall door next to him, he found the culprit to be Brad Pitt!

A wide-eyed Pitt joked, "I have a wide stance."

What I have never figured out is whether Craig was supposed to be the sucker or the suckee. This matters because some people only consider it homosexual if you are the sucker. Apparently, just like on the Sopranos, Pauly was most shocked that Vito was sucker but could forgiven it, if he was the suckee. I bet Craig wanted to be the one doing the sucking because this hypocrite sure sucks!

Democrat obsession with Hollywood, and homosexuality, is fascinating.

Favorite    Flag as abusive Posted 11:06 AM on 10/16/2007

Right wingnuttery of not understanding a satire that is correctly blurbed as: Hollywood spoofs Republican position on gay sex.

In watching Craig's behavior since his outing no doubt he's a "stick-it-to-them" fellow who seems to have a hard-on for those who are shunning him.

Only problem is that Maher just did the same thing on the Emmys. Clooney and Pitt are so original.

Kind of like trying to remake a classic film and butchering the hell out of it.

Frank, Sammy and Dean would bitch slap Clooney for what he did to their brilliant movie.

They may be fascinated by it, but republicans seem to be living it

Indeed. Look at the actors who've actually held office. It is the Republican obsession with Hollywood that is most fascinating. They even talk about altering the constitution, just so the Govornator can run.

Just like illicit sex with strangers in mensrooms, Republicans are at once repulsed by Hollywood and irresistibly attracted by it. They're closet gays and closet actors ... and they're all "ready for their close-up Mr. DeMille"

So you have admitted what Craig does'nt, that he is a Homo.

Favorite    Flag as abusive Posted 12:35 PM on 10/16/2007

Well, there is obsession with Hollywood and homosexuality and there is the acts of electing Hollywood "Stars" and electing closieted gays. What is more important the words or the acts? I say the acts. Republicans run failed actors for office. Rublicans elect closeted gays who condemn other gays. Republicans attend churches run by users of gay prostitutes [they also give them White house press passes]. Republicans listen to drug users on the radio.

Sorry, but party has lost its way morally. As a fan of Lincoln, I hope you find it again, but I don't expect that to happen soon.

Anyway here is a joke for you. How may Republicans does it take to screw in a lightbulb?

None. They prefer screwing in the men's room.

Bwahahahahahaha

Don't forget Madison Ave.
Gametap's new commercial is a guy sitting in a stall tapping his foot and a hand comes underneath to show a piece of paper with the question "Want to play a game?"

I love the way some of these guys make us laugh at the things that drive our frustrations. Maybe if we laugh at Larry Craig long enough, he'll realize that he's not as beloved as he thinks. Although, we do love a good joke.

Clooney can have a wide stance in my stall anytime.

As usual, when Liberals do it, it's a spoof.

Funny stuff.

I'm sure the gays can take a joke.

Especially when it's aimed at a scum-sucking repug like Craig.

I had the pleasure of working with George Clooney.

He's most gracious, down to earth and funny.
He definitely doesn't take himself too seriously.
He was a joy to work with, made the hours fly by.
He was kind to everyone,no matter who they were.

That's rare in a celebrity.

A really charming man.

Then why is he "spoofing" homosexuals? Not very kind, is it.

I don't find two straight men spoofing even a detestable hypocrite like Craig for being gay as ever funny. As offensive as a minstrel show.

He is not spoofing homosexuals. Larry Craig is not gay, he said so himself.

GEORGE CLOONEY for President! Smart enough to stay out of the paparazzi lens... and smart enough not to marry in Whoarywood.

Love you George.... stay funny and don't take any virtue lessons from Brad. He may already be getting a tattoo of supertramp.

She's a better mommy than Jennifer, who cares more about her "career" than a family. Brad wanted kids. It's that simple.

Ever since I heard about LC's "wide stance" in the WC, I look at my legs and I don't see how one can do a wide stance when one is limited by one's pants when they are down around one's ankles!

Favorite    Flag as abusive Posted 08:35 PM on 10/15/2007

You are so totally right. I too was in an airport bathroom stall trying to imagine the same thing. You cannot do it unless you take your pants off! Everywhere in public bathrooms all over the world men are trying to figure that out. They all know Larry Craig is lying.

Just came back from seeing Michael Clayton.

Good stuff. I recommend it. Among Clooney's best and Wilkinson could get a nod for Best Actor in a supporting role.

Swinton is terrific, too. A rock-solid performance.

Worth the price of admission and many here at HuffPo will appreciate the story.

Of course, many others will not.

My understanding is Georgie's new movie is getting ratings as good as MSNBC's. And I though George was againts bombs going off. Maybe he should shut his pie hole about political issues that a line memorizer knows nothing about. When will Hollyweird realize they alienate 50% of the population with their lib/commie attitudes. Needless to say that when they male OCEAN'S 27, I would see it for free.

LOL

Your "understanding" !!! ?? Rather an unusual oxymoron, don't you think?

"The critically acclaimed legal thriller "Michael Clayton" met expectations after expanding into wide release in its second weekend."

http://www.latimes.com/business/la-fi-boxofficechart15oct15,1,3784110.story?coll=la-headlines-business

With a budget of $25 million dollars, it has already made more than two-fifths of it's cost ...

... and it just opened.

I don't recognize your handle. Are you among the well-known fools who come here to embarrass themselves, or is this a cameo appearance for you?

The movie is pulling a 7.7 in the IMDB ...

http://imdb.com/title/tt0465538/

and it's got a 90% rating on the rotten tomatoes composite.

http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/michael_clayton/

In other words, it's kicking ass big time.

Do you still have your Wendell Wilkie button? ? I hear they're quite collectible.

Yes, it's a film about people talking intelligently.

No car crashes or hillbilly chicks with their plastic tits hangin out. Not your kind of flick, mouth-breather.

I drive on the Mass Pike alot. And I make numerous "Pitt" stops along the way. Ever since Larry Craig, I can't sit on the toilet without thinking about taking a wide stance and tapping my foot. But mostly I just have to keep from busting a gut from just imagining doing it. If only my sister were next to me, then I could actually do that without fear of getting nabbed. But wait, women aren't that desperate or pervy.

PS: I draw the line on rubbing my palm under the divider. Way too gross.

Clooney and Pitt should do a remake of Butch Cassidy And The Sundance Kid

not a bad idea, and a great pair, assuming you want GC to play Butch to BPs Sundance.

However, how low is Larry Craig that he thinks he has any power as he is a national joke. But hey, he is a Repub. the whole party is a joke anymore.

In the words of Craig's arresting officer: "Embarrassing, embarrassing. No wonder why we're going down the tubes!"

If you haven't watched Butch Cassidy and the Sundance kid in a few years, you'd be amazed how great it still is. Watching these guys smirk their way through the last Oceans was pathetic, they couldn't come close to the original performances by Paul Newman and Robert Redford.

Speaking of "smirking their way through", you've got to see Paul Newman in "Cool Hand Luke"...It's a CLASSIC!..."What we have here, is a failure to communicate."...a CLASSIC!

Yes this seems to be lost on the Hufftards. Praise Pitt and Clooney for being so creative as to not even wait a few months before doing the EXACT same bit as Maher.

I know this may shock a lot of conservatives, but two men can be best friends and NOT have a sexual relationship, regardless of their sexuality.

If you want gay men to stop having sex...let them get married. If it stops straight folks from having sex, maybe it'll do the same for gays?

but if they all get married who will Larry meet in the Men's Room?

"If you want gay men to stop having sex...let them get married. If it stops straight folks from having sex, maybe it'll do the same for gays?"

It's probably straight men in heterosexual marriages who MOST suffer from PNS (penis not sucked). And they, of course, blame it on their wives' PMS (Premenstrual Syndrome)!?

Actually, it seems as though gay men in homosexual marriages would have the decided ADVANTAGE over the typical (legal) "one man, one woman" marriages. I mean, THINK about it. SAME sex ... SAME interests. Whereas one MAN (from Mars) paired with one WOMAN (from Venus) ... BATTLE OF THE SEXES!

The homophobic hysteria that Homosexual Marriages will HARM Heterosexual Marriages is UNFOUNDED. LEGALIZE GAY MARRIAGE, to HELP LOWER the OVERALL divorce rate, and HELP STABILIZE society.

Stay safe, healthy and happy,
Love, Loretta

Favorite    Flag as abusive Posted 10:14 AM on 10/16/2007

Of course the idea that same sex marriages will damage heterosexual marriages is "unfounded" only morons believe that.

Another thing that is true is that there is no evidence that same sex marriages would experience any better of a divorce rate.
