I Like ItI Don’t Like It

Through no fault of his own, Rep. Ron Paul's anti-globalist, anti-government campaign for the Republican presidential nomination has become a magnet in neo-Nazi networks, pulling in activists and supporters from the fringe white nationalist community where anti-Semitism, anti-black and anti-immigrant views are commonplace.

In some cases, these internet-based activists acknowledge that even though the Paul campaign does not have a racist or anti-Semitic agenda, it can serve as a vehicle to find sympathizers and to recruit new loyalists drawn to the Republican congressman's opposition to international trade agreements, federal police authority and to the income tax.

Such web-based organizations as Stormfront (motto: "White Pride, World Wide"), Vanguard News Network ("No Jews. Just Right.") and the Nationalist Coalition ("working to create the relationships that will lay the foundation for the White community that is necessary to our survival") have become sources of support for Paul's bid for the Republican nomination, and in some cases have set up separate Ron Paul discussion groups.

The Paul campaign dismissed the pro-Paul activities among these groups. "We don't know who these people are," said Jesse Benton, Paul's communications director. Their support has "nothing to do with Ron Paul, and what he stands for....His message of freedom, peace and prosperity - that's why people support him."

Paul has not made racist or anti-Semitic appeals to the controversial organizations and their members. Instead, their support is based on Paul's libertarian opposition to government generally, including the IRS and the powers granted to the federal government under the Patriot Act - views that are shared by many on the conservative fringe of the spectrum.

In the 2000 campaign, Patrick J. ("Pat") Buchanan appealed to many similar individuals and organizations. Buchanan had a history of expressing views that were often interpreted as anti-Semitic.

Writing on the Vanguard News Network, "White Will" argued that "folks, get involved in the Ron Paul 'revolution' and work with political activists in your communities who are attracted to his anti-globalist message.... Most of you would be surprised at how many good people can be exposed to a, let's say, 'pro-majority' message among the remarkable groundswell of fed up, mostly White Ron Paul supporters -- many, early on, from the 9/11 truth movement. They are finding their backbones as they are exposed to more and more hidden truths, especially about the hidden hand of Jewry behind every foul venture."

Among those backing Paul this year is John J. Ubele, the National Coalition's Operations Manager. In an emailed reply to an inquiry, Ubele said, "I know that Ron Paul is not a white separatist or a white nationalist. However, he is the most honest and responsible of all the presidential candidates and that is why I support his candidacy."

The National Coalition is one of a number of splinter groups that formed after the death of William Luther Pierce, author of The Turner Diaries, and founder of the now fractured National Alliance. The Turner Diaries were considered crucial to the thinking of Oklahoma City bomber Timothy McVeigh.

On a Stormfront discussion thread on the Paul Campaign - "The Ron Paul Revolution" -- one contributor wrote in:

"Not standing up for Ron Paul against the un-American Jewish media and neo-cons who will do anything to stop his nomination is like not standing up to the efforts to force integration, to encourage mass non-White immigration, or to the attack on the USS Liberty."

"Ron Paul is NOT a White Nationalist. His Libertarian policies will also conflict with National Socialism, something that a good number of Stormfront members support. However, he is the least toxic candidate by leaps and bounds," wrote a contributor identified as "Concerned Human."

A minority of the contributors to white nationalist web sites insist on rigid adherence to their racial views. "Anything less than ALL is NOTHING. If anythings priority is not 100% the survival of the White Race, than it is a problem and not a solution. Ron Paul's priority is not 100% the survival of the white race, so he is an enemy and a burden just as much as any jew," wrote "comJo, Pan-Aryan Insurgent."

The white nationalist and anti-Semitic support flowing to the Paul campaign reflects one of the difficulties facing candidates who do not fall into the midstream: that often their views on less controversial subjects like trade and the power of the federal government to take property through eminent domain also appeal to extremist groups.

It's amazing to me how frightened people are of peace, prosperity and freedom they will go though great lengths to contort their minds through so many mental gynastics they end up rejecting Ron Paul's genuine and truthful message!

As someone else pointed out, as long as he carries the label "Republican" or "Libertarian", he would never, ever get my vote. Some claim "government agent provocateurs" are spreading lies that Paul is a racist. Now this is bordering on paranoia, another phenomenon common to Libertarian nutjobs...sorry, not sold on this guy. Happy he gets up there and says the stuff he does about the war, but otherwise he's the candidate of freaks.

Mr. Edsell, it is nice to know where all these subliminal messages come from early so we don't read your crap. This compares to that Coulter hole and what she says. We will remember you for this little piece of work of yours. Admit it, you've got alot of slammin to do between here and elections to ruin this guy. This is a pitiful job on your part.

Who's your daddy?

For you believers out there, it is obvious that you, as well as I are making an impact that is starting to ruffle some feathers out there. Let's just hope that our next president is very well protected from now on. This could get ugly. Never has there been a time where the right man comes and saves his/our country from this pervasive evil that has so far gone unchecked. I just hope when the dust settles, this man treats this cabal of arrogant, diabolical imbeciles like enemy combatants, throws them in the very prisons they have constructed for us, and put's em on trial for treason of the nineth degree. All of em. And I'm talking about the biggest monster of the bunch. Mr. Bush Sr.

That's what they're doing. Committing TREASON. Even Pelosi....

God Bless America, and God Bless Ron Paul

All that to conclude extremist groups vote?

Should this epiphany been had, say, a DECADE ago with the ascension of Cowboy Dub-ya and the lizards and 'Brownies' that magnetized to his ass and larvae'd their way into every nook of the government?

What's DICK CHEEEEENEY if not an EXTREMIST?

Talk about smear piece...

Hell...

And not even attempting to disguise 'em any more....

Roootie G.? Is that you?

Mr. Paul taking up too much cash and the Bank of Uzbekistan already dwindling?

................

You too, Hillary.

If she had to go up against Ron Paul, she'd have to finally answer some questions with specifics. Maybe do a little homework... dig into that bag of "goods" she claims to have with all of her experience. pandering..

Sad state of Party when their "bottom tier" candidate could make our "frontrunner" look like Fred Thompson in headlights in a head to head.

But..but... Hill's already got her song and outfit picked for her crowning! DRATS! (glycerine drops cue here)

What is it with this article?
Is Edstall retarded?
Is this all he can find to write about Ron Paul?
A man who is not corporate owned, perfect voting record, principled, humble, a constitutional scholar, and a thinker.
Shame on you Bedstall, do your homework next time.
The truth of ther matter is that Ron Paul's message is gaining traction across the country and may pose a significant threat to those corporate candidates.
Make no mistake, democrats/republicans are fed by the same hands, then you have Ron Paul.

But Ron Paul is a Republican. The last Republican Texan ran claiming to be a uniter and a compassionate man who opposed nation building. How did that one work out?
Ron Paul is the same thing. He is just a Republican. Another right to lifer who will say anything and make any alliances to get elected. He's a Republican politician. A sucessful one. A sucessful Republican.
His supporters seem to think of him as something other than a politician- very like the GOP to pick a candidate and imbue them with all sorts of superhuman qualities. Refuse to inspect the package because the package has a lable on it that says 'Republican'.
Dealing honestly would be a better tack. Calling people names and such is not a winner. I've read Paul's writings for many years. What you need to do is get ready to defend him, for there is much out there. Mr Edsall was very kind, others will not be so kind. Welcome to the big game!

Again....

Ron Paul on black issues:

"If you have ever been robbed by a black teen-aged male, you know how unbelievably fleet-footed they can be."

"Given the inefficiencies of what DC laughingly calls the criminal justice system, I think we can safely assume that 95 percent of the black males in that city are semi-criminal or entirely criminal."

"These aren't my figures, that is the assumption you can gather from the report".

"Opinion polls consistently show that only about 5 percent of blacks have sensible political opinions, i.e. support the free market, individual liberty and the end of welfare and affirmative action."

Paul continued that politically sensible blacks are outnumbered "as decent people."

He said it...that's all that counts...his words come back to bite him, hard. You can't talk that racist crap anymore and be a serious candidate...you can have idiots like Lou Dobbs spout his xenophobic crap on CNN, but he isn't running for anything.

Ron Paul's newsletter used to feature stuff like that all the time. He published it for years. Two points: Paul denies having written those words, but will not say who did, he allowed it to go out under his name.
Point two: this newsletter is part of Paul's history that brings the supremists to his campaign. For Paul and his supporters to claim they have no idea why these nut jobs are attracted to Paul is simply a false front. They know good and well that many of these people have followed Paul for years due to much of the material in his newsletters. They know why the racists are in the camp. If they are not welcome with Dr Paul, he could clearly say so. He could come out and say he does not agree with his own newsletter that blacks are terrorists identifiable by skin color. The newsletter said that as well.
Paul should have addressed this already if he really wanted to get anywhere. He knows the newsletters are out there. He knows why the supremists are drawn to him. So far he seems fairly comfortable in the company he attracts.

That is the one & only "negative" point anyone can bring up about Ron Paul in his 20 years as Congressman!

And it has been discussed, over & over, in blogs & articles everywhere. That one issue, because there is nothing else you can say bad about him, even for those who don't agree with him on every issue.

Do the research.

Yes, his name was on the paper, but someone else wrote the article and a long time ago he clarified that he did not write that and he does not agree with the writing (though of course he accepted responsibility for the article anyway).

This is just another attempt to divide Ron Paul supporters.

Ron Paul is gaining support from whites, blacks, Hispanics, the poor, the middle class, the laborers, blue-collar workers, white collar workers, college students, medical professionals, lawyers, engineers, construction workers, etc.

You name it, he's got support from every group Ummm... except for the elites and those making $$$ of big government, off the war, Big Pharma, the military-industrial complex, of course -- they are perfectly happy with the way things are!!

He is also not getting support from those who believe the Government has no right to make our reproductive decisions. Paul is anti- choice. He wants to be everyone's Baptist nanny.
And he calls himself a liberatarian. No Government services, just government policing of private matters.
Ron is the very best of the GOP candidates howerver. In order to gain the nomination, you Paulists will need to get real and face up to Ron's past and his policies. Just like all candidates have to do.

Rep. Ron Paul warns of false flag operation followed by attack on Iran

=Our growing naval presence in the region and our harsh rhetoric toward Iran are unsettling. Securing the Horn of Africa and sending Ethiopian troops into Somalia do not bode well for world peace. Yet these developments are almost totally ignored by Congress.

=Rumors are flying about when, not if, Iran will be bombed by either Israel or the U.S.-- possibly with nuclear weapons. Our CIA says Iran is ten years away from producing a nuclear bomb and has no delivery system, but this does not impede our plans to keep =everything on the table= when dealing with Iran.

=We should remember that Iran, like Iraq, is a third-world nation without a significant military. Nothing in history hints that she is likely to invade a neighboring country, let alone do anything to America or Israel. I am concerned, however, that a contrived Gulf of Tonkin- type incident may occur to gain popular support for an attack on Iran.

=Even if such an attack is carried out by Israel over U.S. objections, we will be politically and morally culpable since we provided the weapons and dollars to make it possible.

=Mr. Speaker, let’s hope I’m wrong about this one.=

--Texas House Republican Ron Paul, speech before House of Representatives, Jan. 11, 2007

The pathology, methodology, and propaganda of Huff&Puff are very apparent.
Underlying all the tainted bias yellow journalism that constants supports her darling socialistic causes, she ruthlessly and without consideration for truth or fairness smears her opponents.

Like Al Goldstein of Screw magazine and Larry Flint of Hustler magazine she has characteristics that are worthy of examination in a professional setting. Many indicators point to the reverse logic mental patterns that have produced such dysfunctional behavior.

It would not be difficult to combine such a list of traits that she has cultivated to bring about such disrespectful acting out of her phobias and dysfunction behavior. If such a list were compiled through personality profiling, she would just have it censored. One thing that Huff&Puff does not easily tolerate is criticism even if it is helpful.

Her defensive manipulations will not allow her faults to become more public. She is not alone in her personality based defensive aggressions. Hillary Clinton, Brack Oboma, George W. Bush, and Adolph Hitler share her weaknesses.

Perhaps many interventions are order, since far too many mentally ill persons maybe suffering from the effects of manipulative Machiavellian megalomania. It is a disease that has permeated much of Washington DC and some the wealthiest industry leaders.

I wish Mr Edsall would tell us the 1.4B dollar a day (!) growth of our national dept, about the catastrophic devaluation of the dollar, about the ever expanding war, suffering and destruction, disappearing civil liberties etc.. Instead he is telling us that the only sane candidate is a 'magnet for racists' in contrast to Guiliani or Romney???

Well, .. everybody has got an agenda, just not everyone has a voice.

Although, the Republican Party should be destroyed for what it's done the last few years, it wouldn't be the snake handling, white theocrat, torture and war profiteering Republican Party anymore with Ron Paul as President. That, in itself, would bring a lot more continuity and security to the U.S. and all its institutions. To a significant extent, Ron Paul has shown that he would be an anti-establishment President (read, corporate fascist) unlike all the other Republicans and many of our bootlicking Democrats. Ron Paul has been right on the major issues, particularly the Iraq invasion-holocaust and getting our own economic house in order including our illegal, suicidal population explosion. Many of his tax and economic ideas wouldn't fly, however, because he would bring back into operation a representative government that he and we would have to live with. We need a major shakeup on Wall Street and among the international predators that continue to operate our nation's bank and financial system. The idea of another pushy, needy, threatening, establishment pol like Hillary has become very tiresome to the majority. It's interesting to note all the major profiles and polls on Ron Paul that HuffPo has chosen to ignore, but now chooses to run this sleazy piece. A lot like the solid studies on overpopulation and its catastrophic effects on our posterity and the environment (in the U.S.) that don't make it to HuffPo because the reality doesn't jibe with the usual fern bar liberal handwringing about everyone else in the world except our own posterity.
