Idaho Senator Larry Craig and his wife sat down with "Today host Matt Lauer to break their silence and talk about his guilty plea in a sex sting at an airport bathroom. Craig answered a question about why he didn't tell his wife about the arrest until the press was about to break the story months later. We suspect that his reluctance to tell his wife stemmed less from his "embarrassment" and more from his desire to keep the arrest as quiet as possible. After all, Craig had a Senate career and a marriage to protect. From NBC 10/16

Don't forget his wife had those 3 children who spoke about being shocked that their father could possibly be gay before they were married. He did not 'sire' those offspring.

This man is vile and pernicious. What more needs to be said?

Yeah, it's always appropriate to continue to expose your wife to hepatitis and HIV rather than tell her about your lifestyle......
That's a real family value and it's a pro-life stance as well-just like throwing somebody else's child into an unjustified war is pro-life!

SURE IT WAS A TOUGH CALL BECAUSE SHE ALREADY SUSPECTS THAT HE IS BI-SEXUAL. THIS WOULD HAVE BEEN THE LAST STRAW. SHE IS STANDING BY HIM LIKE THE OTHER REPUKLICANT WIVES AS THEY HAVE PROBABLY BEEN THREATENED BY THE RNC LOOK AT WHAT HAPPENED WITH MARTHA MITCHELL DURING WATER GATE....!

For a Republican member of Congress, the decision to lie or tell the truth is a tough call. That's not surprising in the least.

I hope the decision to use a condom before putting a strangers d*ck in his mouth was an easy one for him.

"The US Senate business card always worked in the past when I got pulled over. I don't know why it didn't work this time. The only thing I can guess is that this officer sees no future for himself in law enforcment." Craig

Honestly, after as many years of "service" we've paid for with this man, shouldn't have had the nutz to retire with his remaining dignity?
It's not as if many people will track him down in bumf-ck Idaho.

He's dull as shit.

I like the way you put it- plain & simple- maybe in a way even he could understand!

Actually, it's obviously money that has convinced him to humiliate himself everyday by showing up in Congress.

He has no other prospects now, and needs every penny he can wring out of us until he can retire with what is quite a good pension & benefits.

He's been murder on the environment. He never met a land raper he didn't like. And he was always ready to increase punishments for eco-warriors.

Absolute bull***t! He's dishonest on multiple levels. He's an outright fraud and liar who only finds god and conscience AFTER his fraud and dishonety have been exposed. If he could have prevented exposure, he would have. That's why he opted to plead guilty in he first place. The hypocrisy of deceit isn't about what you do, it's about who you are. Larry Craig has spent his life pretending he is someone he is not. No amount of dishonesty or conveniently contrived remorse can change his hypocrisy any more than it can change what he has done. He and George W. Bush are like two peas in a pod. They are both hypocritical frauds pretending they are someone they are not.

osage, you are completely right. It's funny how the self-righteous always find the strength to do what is right... but, only after thay have been caught. That is what is so infuriating about these kind of biggots and liars. They cast aspersions on many while being guilty of extreme hypocracy. Had Craig not be caught, he would have more than likely still been engaging in anonymous bathroom sex and his wife would still be in the dark. He is SCUM. Not because of his perversion, but because of his hypocracy. It is too bad there is no hell... he surely fits the bill. And by the way he is extremely creepy.

If Larry Craig is indeed gay, he's the worst kind of hypocrite. If he's straight, he's the worst kind of pervert. Why would an "innocent" straight male be aware of gay sex bathroom protocol and use it to communicate with another male if he wasn't persuing sex with that male? Why would an "innocent" gay male plead guilty to a sex crime and subsequently deny his sexuality only after his crime and his plea became public knowledge? In neither circumstance could the word "innocent" be applied to Larry Craig? He couldn't be more guilty.

The '08 GOP convention will convene just 7 miles from Larry Craig's Stall of Shame. When time comes for Larry to address what's left of the GOP, delegates will be standing around waiting for Larry to come out.................. of the bathroom............after he's finished his .. business.

Talk to anyone who has spent time behind bars - the dudes doing the corn-holing don't consider themselves gay either.

Mrs. Craig doesn't know the hubby is a Friend of Dorothy? Gimme a break! Just because she's a frump doesn't mean she's brain-dead.

She has know from the beginning. When he got popped for screwing young boy interns back in the 70's, she was on his staff and quickly married him to help cover it all up.

Maybe if she gave him a little oral action once a month and some backdoor action once a year, he might not have gone trolling for such kink in an airport mens room; which was pretty dumb, when all he had to do is call the RNC or the White House and ask for a guy whose name starts with "K" and either of them would have told him where he could get some hot M2M action on the down low in Georgetown...

You are assuming he was looking to be on the receiving end of a BJ. Since was the aggressor, I would be tempted to think differently about that.

I think we should start a movement to make Larry Craig the keynote speaker at the Republican National Convention. He is the perfect representation of the values and ethics of the Republican Party. Have Vitters introduce him...
