On Monday, President Bush appointed Susan Orr to oversee federal family planning programs at the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). Orr, who is currently directing HHS child welfare programs, was touted by the administration as "highly qualified."

But a look at Orr's record shows that her strongest qualifications appear to be her right-wing credentials and endorsement of the Bush administration's failed abstinence-only policies. Before joining HHS, Orr served as senior director for marriage and family care at the conservative Family Research Council and was an adjunct professor at Pat Robertson's Regent University. I'm not sure which the Bushies encourage more- AQ recruitment, or abortion- another one that should have been left on the sheets.
She headed the child welfare ??? What a f*cked up mess that is.
It's obvious these folks are only interested in one particular birth and a messiah that lead a torutred life is that much more inspiring- ( but not a 'poor black child).these delusional religious zealots are running our gov't. they are in the throes of a self fulfilling prophecy. It's such an insane concept they have been able to do it right in front of US. when all logically answers have been ruled out you must conclude the answer lies within the absurd. We are denying the obvious signs and symptoms of Rapture Instigators sitting in the Executive Branch and the majority of Congress & the SC.Religious Extremism is alive & well in the US. "Holy War" is an oxymoron and the oldest propaganda tool in the box. These folks gave God a bad name, so who are they working to benefit?(Heretics)Whether or not any 'Prophet' told us that we keepers of this planet and all that it holds- WE ARE.In fact the distruction of the Earth would have even more ramifications for at least our galaxy (Ripple effect). There are extemely dangerous men sitting on a cash of resources for destruction, and they're in our gov't.

N678: that Monty Python poem says it all.!
Is that from Spamalot....They want more babies
so that there will be 10 billion scrambling for
$1.00 an hour, (if they're lucky) in the future. Or fighting for the big Corporate powers...."fighing for Texaco" as the song goes. Not having children is NOT A DISEASE,== go out and help the homeless, aged, mentally ill. I thought that's why they don't allow marriage for priests == so that they won't be distracted by their own family responsibilities. HYPOCRITES!

Being "infertile" is NOT A DISEASE either! years ago, "infertile" couples who wanted a child adopted, and there are plenty of lonely people out there that if someone reached out to them it could make a fulfilling life on both sides. Isn't that what religion is about? or is just about filling up the planet so that we use up all the natural resources so that that are more diseases???? I don't get it., Please don't write any nasty responses to me. I have the right to my opinion.

Of course, I'm sure HER CUSHY INSURANCE covers it, as for all pols and appointees. But here, the holier-than-thou Orr will say no for every other female. But guess what: if you become pregnant and have a child who needs a procedure and you can't get health insurance, you never shoulda had the kid, huh?

How contradictory is that?! Oh, I forgot: don't have sex, even if you're married. That'll work...

But actually it's about making the general population into an underclass like a 3rd world nation. Uncontrolled reproduction, low wages, no job safety, no unions, overcrowding. Welcome to Dickensian London.

"Fertility is not a disease."

Supporting Republicans, on the other hand...

At the very least it's a disorder, potentially genocidal.

Let me get this straight:
Unwanted children and the often devastating personal, social and economic consequences are bad.
Contracting HIV/AIDS or a host of STDs is also bad.
Rising insurance costs is bad.
But Birth Control is WORSE??!

There couldn't be several younger el Chicos running around Mexico where w used to go for Spring break or for just fooling around. Of course he and Laura used no birth control when they were dating because they were abstinent and he couldn't have used any when he was back east in college because he was saving himself for marriage. Surely neither daughter needs any birth control. Do the Bushes reproduce immaculately? Riight.

As Monty Python pointed out...........

There are Jews in the world, there are Buddhists,
There are Hindus and Mormons and then
There are those that follow Mohammad, but
I've never been one of them.

I'm a Roman Catholic,
And have been since before I was born,
And the one thing they say about Catholics is
They'll take you as soon as you're warm.

You don't have to be a six footer,
You don't have to have a great brain,
You don't have to have any clothes on,
You're a Catholic the moment Dad came, because

Every sperm is sacred,
Every sperm is great,
If a sperm is wasted,
God gets quite irate.

Let the heathen spill theirs,
On the dusty ground,
God shall make them pay for
Each sperm that can't be found.

Every sperm is wanted,
Every sperm is good,
Every sperm is needed,
In your neighborhood.

Hindu, Taoist, Mormon,
Spill theirs just anywhere,
But God loves those who treat their
Semen with more care.

Fertility is not a disease. Fine. That's why we're not funding non-medically required VOLUNTARY STERILIZATION.

Birth control is not a Global War On Fertility.

Oop, didn't mean to give the whackos any ideas.

"Bush Family Planning Appointee: Birth Control Part Of The "Culture Of Death""

As opposed to said appointee's culture of ignoring a (predictable) problem until it's a bigger problem.

~ReasonIsMyReligion~

Remove the words "Planning Appointee: Birth Control Part Of The" out of your first sentence and it makes more sense.

Dontcha think?
