The rich and powerful can hide behind their lawyers and block the IRS (or state tax collection agencies) from doing anything to them. It's the middle class who don't have big bucks to maintain a tax lawyer that get terrorized by the IRS and also by state tax collection agencies. The direct income is nothing but expropriation. I support Gravel's fair Tax proposal. While it won't guarantee freedom from state tax agency abuse, at least it will get the Federal IRS monkey off the backs of the middle class.

Why aren't all these criminals in tax court? Why aren't their assets being seized? If I owed the IRS $5000 in back taxes (plus interest and penalties which are always tacked on for good measure) there would be "revenuers" evicting me from my house, taking my bank account and driving me off to the Federal pen. I remember reading how they went after Abbott and Costello, who freely gave hundreds of hours of their time and talent to sell war bonds. The IRS seized their homes and personal property and reportedly even took a ring right off Lou Costello's pudgy little finger!

Not surprised at Warwick cheating . Several years ago she ripped off an AIDS benefit when she spent money donated to the organization on expensive hotels and limos. When asked about it she said she wasn't expected to not have limos and her status as a star meant she should stay in expensive hotels. There was more to this but I forget the other details.
