Sen. Barack Obama raised nearly $1 million in just over one day, his campaign announced Wednesday.
The Illinois Democrat sent an e-mail to supporters Tuesday asking for contributions to "close the gap" between him and Sen. Hillary Clinton, D-New York. Third quarter fundraising numbers showed Obama to be $2.1 million behind Clinton in primary funds.

Well, it is the unwritten rule. If you have 1 part black, 4 part white you would still be considered black.
I have seen a blue eye blonde whose father is dark skinned black. This does not happen often but it does(her mom is white offcourse). I don't think they call her black because she does not have any semblace of being black.
I have seen another bi-racial who has dark skin but has freckles and green eyes, go figure.
Take for example, Derek Jeter of the yankees he can pass for a white or a Hispanic but infact he is black by the unwritten definition. I don't care what a person looks like on the outside be you beautiful, not soo beautiful, tall, short, fat,skinny, dark complected or light complected. I relate to people how they do to me.

I hope Obama can parlay this one day of superb fundraising into sustained success that will lead to the Democratic nomination.
I'm voting Democrat in November of '08, and I'd feel a lot better conscience-wise if it were Sen. Obama, rather than Sen. Clinton.

It's wonderful that enough people with money like him and want to contribute to his campaign. But if we had publicly funded elections, all this money could go to taking care of this country and it's citizens.

I can't believe this man sent emails out to beg for cash so that he could keep up with Hillary. Is this about his message or his money?
Obama is an ego out of control, he wants to be a "big fish" without paying his dues. Just like his "need" for secret service protection, I knew he wanted that because Hillary had it, and he wants to feel important.

Obama would have not sent out this e-mail had Hillary not had a Washington lobbyist exclusive fundraiser.
He needs the people to put him ahead of the lobbyist funded candidate, thats all.
