"Ugly Betty's" resident transsexual Rebecca Romijn is in New York doing the talk show rounds, and she's giving chat show viewers deja vu with her wedding story. If you're wondering what you missed if you slept through Letterman last night, you only had to see her on "Live with Regis and Kelly" to have heard the exact same story told the exact same way, hand gestures and all.

Completing the sense of deja vu for Letterman and Regis viewers was each show's closer: LeAnn Rimes singing "Nothing Better To Do."

It would have been noteworthy only if she told a different story. My grandmother told me that if you tell the truth it always comes out the same.

I guess it's a case of "practice makes perfect."

The world is one big soundbite!

Getting tired of the arbitrary censorship of some of Arriana's kids. Gods forbid a gay man, namely ME, would have something funny to say about two men and a snake.

Um, why is this worth noting? I've seen a lot of celebrities do this.

It's like that show "Daybreak."

Y'know, where a guy has to repeat the same day over and over again. Except in that show "different things happen."

Unfortunately the lovely Ms. S goes by the phrase "If something works...stick with it."

If Tye Diggs had applied THAT theory he'd STILL be stuck repeating that day!

(For fans of the movie Groundhog Day; replace references to "Daybreak" with "Groundhog Day" and references to Tye Diggs with Bill Murray.)

Since one show is late-night and the other early morning, it seems that it would make sense to repeat the story. Different audience. If she came on Letterman two nights in a row and told the same story .. then THAT might be a sign of early Alzhiemers. This, I think she did on purpose .. so not a news story.

BIG SCHMUCKING DEAL...

Everybody does this. Tell me, fellow Huffposters, that you don't "rehearse" and retell personal stories like this. I thought RR did her story pretty well both times. (Of course he fact that she's a major hottie doesn't hurt....)

So she has similarities with politicians who say things over and over again to catapult the propaganda...

Right like Al Gore in '88.

Where he answered EVERY question with the pat phrase;

"I'm going to put government back on the side of working men and women"

That really WAS his response to ANY question. He was that bad.

no, not like al gore. nice adversion, though. i am sure hirnlego meant something a little more like this:

"See, in my line of work you got to keep repeating things over and over and over again for the truth to sink in, to kind of catapult the propaganda."

Why is this strange? Show Biz Law #7: When plugging anything that can make money, you must consult with a producer, talent coordinator and various flunkies that exist solely to get you that damn soda BEFORE you go on-air. This way all comments, facial expressions, complicated phrases and really cool surprises (jumping on a couch for example) look completely natural. The host can act actually interested in what you're saying like it's the first time they've heard it when actually it's not. This situation can become mroe complicted if said host is hung over, high, pissed off, etc.

If you follow this formula everywhere you go, everything should be ok and you will get the standard SAG appearance fee. If not, try not to panic because you'll be forced to actually improvise instead. Good night and good luck.
