"Ugly Betty's" resident transsexual Rebecca Romijn is in New York doing the talk show rounds, and she's giving chat show viewers deja vu with her wedding story. If you're wondering what you missed if you slept through Letterman last night, you only had to see her on "Live with Regis and Kelly" to have heard the exact same story told the exact same way, hand gestures and all.

Completing the sense of deja vu for Letterman and Regis viewers was each show's closer: LeAnn Rimes singing "Nothing Better To Do."

WOW ! This must be the first repeated story in history... WTF! Oh yeah, I almost forgot, Bush repeats his fear mongering and lies all the time. Thanks for the update!

Didn't see Reggie but then I rarely can handle that show for more than a few seconds at a time.

BUT I did catch her on Dave and all I kept thinking was "Jerry you lucky son of a bitch, I bet you just can't keep your hands off of her" OTherwise she's just another person without much brain power.

The gulf between celebs with brains and those without is just amazingly wide. She's obviously not on the brainy side but then again with a body like that no one really cares.

I agree that the transexual thing turned me off of Ugly Betty. It started out great, but it is after all a one trick pony.

After watching The Devil Wears Prada, it is completely unbelievable that Betty wouldn't EVER pick up any beauty hints. IN real life she's not bad looking so I just don't buy into the crap that she can't be made better looking anymore.

But the tranny thing lost it for me.

the idea that every interview a person gives is totally off the cuff material is just naive. If anything, I'm impressed with how she edited and improved the story: esp. ditching "ghetto blaster" and being more efficient in the telling. Good for her for preparing and taking her appearances seriously. so, she's boring. Big whoop. she's trying.

Clearly, her "handlers" got to her in between spots and told her to change "ghettoblaster" to "boom box" 'cause it sure ain't cute or politically correct for a big tall blonde woman to go around using a deregatory term for stereo equipment.

And, oh yeah, she happens to be tremendously insipid.

For Xmas one year, Santa Claus brought my kid sister a "Chatty Cathy" doll. You pulled her string and she would say one of, oh, four or five different phrases. My little sister just LOVED that doll and took it everywhere with her, even on one of our family vacations in the old Chevy station wagon.
Somewhere between Memphis and Texarkana, that doll suffered a mechanism malfunction, and just played the same phrase over and over and over again.
Romijn's "tape looped" appearances brought back memories of that vacation.
Now, if anyone reading this happened to find that doll stuffed behind the wastepaper container in the ladies' room of the Phillips 66 in Texarkana, Texas back in 1967, would you please send it to Rebecca Romijn?
She could do twice as many talk shows if she had a sound-alike stand-in!

This isn't news. Not even entertainment news. Who gets pissed because a band plays the same song? So shes acting like a forgetful old man who repeats his stories. Its not rocket-science.

"Deja vous" means "already you [pl. or formal]". The familiar cliché is "déjà vu", which means "already seen", as in clairvoyance.

Did you mean to say this girl causes the audience to be "already me"? Are they trying to impersonate me? The nerve!

"Deja vous" could be translated "already you", whereas "déjà vu" means "already seen".

Did you intend to convey the former meaning or the latter? Like, is she already you?

She looked more fetching with Regis which I suppose, is the best thing I can say about this entire piece.

I'm with you on that observation. She can say and do whatever the hell she wants! I won't complain.

May be I don't know the background, but I am not sure what the big deal is.

I saw her on Letterman and Regis and Kelly (ask me if I have a life) and was amazed how she told the story. I have nothing against her, but I was enjoying Ugly Betty last year but was dismayed how quick it "jumped the shark" when they brought her character on board. She simply isn't believable as a transexual and the whole story line is unbelievable.

Egads! It was almost like watching the same person recounting the same event twice. Who tells the same wedding story twice, in a 24 hour period, using the same gestures?

I don't get why this is a headline-worthy gotcha. I reckon it's a slow snooze day.

She may be dull, but she's still pretty hot. Which I suppose generates a lot of hits. Which I suppose explains the relevance.

I saw her last night on Letterman. She is truly BORING. However, she served up a real softball when describing her early job as a chicken butcher. She said " I cut up the chickens and BONED the breast" at which Dave replied, "I've done that." It was really humerous.

Crap Now she's going to feed that boned-the-chickens line to every man 'cause it got her a laugh. Her just-being-hot-is-enough isn't enough.

Agree, a pretty face with no brains that just keeps chatting away...Ughhhh, no thanks!
Although, it stands to reason, if smart people don't necesarily HAVE to be pretty, then I guess the pretty ones don't HAVE to be smart.
But it is nice to find someone who is both.
