BAGHDAD (Reuters) - U.S. forces in Iraq discovered nearly 19 tons of explosives in a weapons cache north of Baghdad this week, one of the biggest finds of its kind, the U.S. military said on Saturday.

The cache was discovered west of Tarmiya, some 30 km (19 miles) northwest of the capital Baghdad, in Salahuddin province where Sunni Arab militants have a strong presence.

The find was made up of 41,000 lbs of ammonium nitrate and 35 mortar bombs. U.S. forces destroyed the cache.

"It's a crippling blow against the enemy, it's really huge," said Peggy Kageleiry, a spokeswoman for U.S. forces in northern Iraq.

Car and truck bombs are used on almost a daily basis by militants in Iraqis targeting U.S. and Iraqi security forces and civilians.

In the deadliest attack this year, 520 people were killed in August when two suicide bombers drove two garbage trucks packed with explosives into two villages in northwestern Iraq.

Dr. Ron Paul is the republican candidate that I will have ever voted for -- my wife's as well -- -and our son's first election.

I see Dr. Paul is really, really pi$$ing off the so-called main-stream press, HuffPost being part of it, for his 'inability' to be bought, sold, and special-favored into their wants and desires. Ergo, he is shunned.

As for the "polls," I'm 100 percent convinced that the polls are made up garbage. Calls may indeed be made, but the results are considered and decided upon beforehand. Like joe the psycho lieberman, one of the many senators representing Tel Aviv, whose 2006 opponent had, to the last single, solitary vote, the identical number of votes as joey-the-psycho's last opponent in 2000. Do we call that 'coincidence, or a foregone conclusion in collusion by the MSM to not really cover that aspect of it?

It's the same 'don't look -- just do NOT look' mentality the MSM pursues when it ignores that Ron Paul womps candidates in all but a couple of straw polls, winning Alabama's recently with 81% of ALL votes, and the morons we're told are the "top-tier candidates" chased the pinata's 19% for their 'fair share.' I'm not 200+ years old, I'm 46. The America I know and love includes every New Deal program that makes us great, and as a 'liberal' I'd like to see every one of them expanded and improved upon.

Why would I be interested in a candidate that wants a country of every man for himself? As a 'liberal', I want a country that's every man for each other.
