Bloomberg:

Rudy Giuliani should pledge to nominate an attorney general who opposes abortion and should agree to accept sweeping new restrictions on the practice to minimize opposition to his presidential candidacy from evangelical Christians, said Richard Land, a prominent leader of religious conservatives.

``If he did those things he would make it easier for a lot of evangelicals to choose him as the lesser of two evils,'' Land, a leader of the Nashville-based Southern Baptist Convention, said in an interview on Bloomberg Television's ``Political Capital with Al Hunt.''

Still, Land said he will not personally support the former New York mayor's candidacy. ``It is a matter of individual, moral conscience,'' said Land, whose group represents 16 million members. ``I cannot vote for a pro-choice candidate, period.''

uh...Mr Land, Rudy can pledge to nominate Spongebob Squarepants, however since he's not going to be close to having that responsibility..

It's a moot point..?

How come there isn't a single story on this website about the election results in Louisiana yesterday ? Oh yeah I forgot. This is a liberal website and the ringmasters obviously don't want the circus acts to know that a Republican just kicked their ass for the Louisiana governership.

Yadda Yadda Yadda

Bottom line is that the lying SOB will simply team up with one of the "6000 year old men" as his VP candidate and that will solve the issue. Of course, in the interim he will - as he always has - promise anything and everything to everyone to get their support.

I knew Rudy-Tootie in law school. He was a little shit then and he is a little shit now. You could never trust him even in the smallest of things.

"Promise anything and everything........."
Uh, that's what politicians do, just listen to Hideous Hillary. Then after the actual election they concentrate on the matters at hand which usually have nothing to do with their promises, except, WATCH OUT FOR Mrs. Clinton!

In other comments, Land suggested that Giuliani should promise to personally mow the lawns of evangelists, clean their bathrooms and kiss his ass in Macy's window for the cameras. "Doesn't guarantee anything," Land explained, "but it would demonstrate his willingness to pander to a trifling minority of wingbat lunatics, something required of any serious Republican candidate."

Rudy, don't do it. If you cave in to blackmail, you will lose more votes. Stay the course...learn something from Hillary.

1.) “Would you have sex with a man to stop a terrorist attack?”

2.) “If lowering taxes results in increased revenues then would lowering taxes to zero result in infinite revenues?”

3.) “If you had a time machine, would you travel back in time and abort Bin Laden?”

4.) “Would you torture and kill Jesus to ensure mankind’s salvation? And how does that work?”

Fuck Evangelical leaders. Get superstition out of politics and government.

All this shit is a means to wage a fake war of outrage in a hand drawn political landscape.

7 years of Bush and abortion is still legal.

All these stupid issues like gay marriage and euthanasia. It's to make you think you have choices. The democrats and the republicans are the same. The democrats appeal to the "working man and minorities" crowd and the republicans appeal to the "small government" crowd. In truth the republicans created a BIGGER government and the democrats couldn't give a shit about minorities or the working man.

The sad fact is that they want power and will take any power than you give them.

So Rudy will of course jump on the a chance to deal with the devil. Pandering to the Radical Christain Right to become president is inevitable for all republicans. They're balls are already had by the corporate capitalist, so why not give the rest of parts to self proclaimed children of their imagined god.

Old Rudy likes to show off his false teeth doesn't he. It makes me sick the way he and some other candidates kiss the Christianfascist asses all the time.

A Deal in the Making.

It's very unlikely the Religious Right will jump ship and pick a Democrats, they're going to find a way to make a deal with one of the front runner. They will play the hand they were dealt by twisting it.

What Republican candidate do you believe suites the Religious Right needs?

In other words,Rudy must accept the dictates of the Christian Fascist Part if he wants their support.

And you know he will....

Evangelicals might want to look to later versions of the Bible for inspiration and guidance. So far, the flock has only been pointed towards Satan, embodied as a fascist dictator.

And the duping continues.
