This Week in Terrible Television: Tortured TV Edition

It's Friday, which means it's time for more highlights from all the terrible television action you missed this week. The common theme this time around seems to be physical discomfort- a squirming cat, a frowning cheerleader, crotch-stomping acrobats, and a tired old gypsy. We threw in a clip of Pat Robertson to pass that feeling of uneasiness on to you. Enjoy.

This poor kitty has the unfortunate luck of belonging to a really crazy lady. The cat gets a 3 hour bath once a week (from her husband) and a one hour blow dry session after that. Watch as she wiggles and squirms and dreams of not having her face smushed. From "Live with Regis and Kelly".

A little girl on "Today" was supposed to model an eco-friendly cheerleader costume, but after producers made her jump up and down for a minute straight, the only thing she could model was her sad little face. Look closely for the exasperated sigh that sums up the entire segment. From NBC 10/15/07.

"Live with Regis and Kelly" welcomed two male acrobats to the show this week. Warning for male viewers: the following clip contains cringe-inducing footage, more specifically- one guy being launched into the air and landing on another guy's crotch. For these athletic guys, this is one of few situations where steroid caused genital shrinkage could actually be beneficial. Keep watching not just for the hilarious facial expressions but for the tumble at the end.

Crazy psychic lady Sylvia Browne was on "Montel" this week and completely phoned it in during the audience Q and A. She really went out on a limb when she told a young girl in an artsy outfit and black streaks in her hair that her career path involved something with art. Sylvia, we understand you're amazing psychic abilities may leave you worn out and tired at times, but can you at least feign interest when gullible audience members ask about their dead parents?

Finally, psychic expert Pat Robertson gives "The 700 Club" audience a quick lesson on the body, psyche, and spirit. Pat explains that it is possible for someone to have psychic abilities, although they may come from Satan. So that explains why Sylvia Browne has such a scary voice!
