CNN's Glenn Beck: "A Handful Of People Who Hate America...Are Losing Their Homes In A Forest Fire Today"

On the October 22 edition of his nationally syndicated radio program, host Glenn Beck stated, "I think there is a handful of people who hate America. Unfortunately for them, a lot of them are losing their homes in a forest fire today." Beck continued: "There are a few people that hate America. But I don't think the Democrats are those. I think there are those posing as Democrats that are like that." Beck's comment came as forest fires ravaged parts of Southern California, leaving one person dead, four firefighters wounded, and forcing about 1,500 people from their homes, according to The New York Times.

I wonder if the repubs are going to spend millions to disprove the fact that their homes burned. Truth is relative and whether homes burned is still a controversy. Beck is right - education is bad. Keep consuming!

I was going to note that I read of at least nine houses that burned down in Rancho Bernardo. Anyone who knows San Diego knows that (a) those are multi-million dollar properties and (b) RB is, or at least it sure used to be, a wealthy Republican stronghold. So his comment was as ill-informed as it was vicious and--to tell the truth--incomprehensible due to his backpedaling as soon as he realized what he had just said.

All of San Diego County is a Republican stronghold. Which is the reason why voters there have a history of turning down bond issues for fire protection.

Three years ago, the County was devastated by the Cedar fire, losing hundreds of homes and a lot of lives, while LA County, also hit by several fires at the same time, came through with much fewer losses. San Diego County was trying to borrow LA County's helicopters, because it didn't have any.

As always, Glenn Beck could not be more correct and more in tune with how true Patriots think.

True Patriots understand that EVERY issue can and MUST be framed in terms of who is loyal to Freedom/America/President Bush and who hates America/loves the terrorists. Those who dare not think like they should deserve whatever terrrible fate awaits them.

Glenn Beck is right and righteous to point out the sins of the losers who dare not bow down before the beloved and all-powerful Talking Points. Not only should their homes burn, but they should burn in hell forever for their hatred of America.

Unless we all obey the President without question and listen to our moral superiors like Glenn Beck, we can not only expect to burn, but true Patriots should actively encourage the destruction of all those who do not obey. Either you are with us or against us. Either you are allowed to live in Freedom or you are forced to burn in hell forever.

Rancho Sante Fe, which will probably be next to burn is one of the single richest, most Republican enclaves in the country.

It's a beautiful, eucalyptus tree filled neighborhood that will be utterly impossible for firemen to defend. Narrow roads and long driveways with overhanging branches.

I learned to drive on those narrow winding roads in RSF, under the thousands of leafy, oily, eucalyptus trees that explode like Roman candles in a forest fire, after almost half a year with scarcely a drop of rain falling. Very bad if the fire gets there. And as you note, a very Reagan-Republican place, with probably a good few Glenn Beck fans.
