NY Sun :

Faced with increasing criticism over his shifts in position on core Republican issues, Mitt Romney is trying to turn the tables on his opponents. The former Massachusetts governor said yesterday that while it's true he has changed his mind on issues like abortion, he is far from alone.

"I'd note that as I look at the other candidates who are running for president, over time they look at specific areas and say, 'Gosh, I was wrong on this. That needs to be adjusted,'" Mr. Romney said in an appearance on CBS's "Face the Nation."

Well at least he told the truth that time.
Every republican running is a flip floper except for maybe Paul.
Every republican ever elected to office flips and flops like a fish out of water. Just depends on which way the wind is blowing? or is that which one the republican is blowing? or is it which republican is blowing?
With this bunch of in the closet republican homosexuals it's hard to tell who's on top?
lol puns intended. ROTFLMAO at the republican fools! hahahahahahahahahahaha.

...and it begins:

Turkish troops, weapons head toward Iraq By VOLKAN SARISAKAL, Associated Press Writer
29 minutes ago

SIRNAK, Turkey - Dozens of Turkish military vehicles loaded with soldiers and heavy weapons rumbled toward the Iraq border on Monday after an ambush by guerrilla Kurds that left eight soldiers missing and killed 12.

Iraq's president said the rebels would announce a cease-fire later in the day. Turkey's government, which has rejected similar announcements in the past, said the country will pursue diplomacy before it sends troops across the rugged frontier.

AAAHHHHH!

Feel that cold wind?

It comes from the spinning revolving doors of Mittler's and Giuliani's posturing. (Rudy now says he supports a Constitutional ban of gay marriage.)

At this rate, the energy these two generate with their position changes could eliminate any need for foreign oil.

May they run for the presidency forever.

At this rate Romney flip-flops more than a hamburger flipper.

Not being the only flip-flopper is a lame excuse for someone who wants to be our President. The more he tries, the lower his chances. He will drop out in the middle of the primaries if not before.

The most funniest thing to watch in the morning after a Republican debate is FOX. They always have a poll and Ron Paul always wins by a huge margin. Then Brian Kilmead and Steve Douche always discount the veracity of their own poll. It's priceless.

Then Brian goes for a massage with Tiki Barber.

Alyson Camerota trys on ever shorter skirts and checks to see if her panties are visible on camera.

Steve Douche goes right out and gets hammered after the show. Then he goes back to his office and "works" late on his book about how happily married he is with a 20-something year old intern.

Clinton Let Bin Laden Slip Away and Metastasize
Sudan offered up the terrorist and data on his network. The then-president and his advisors didn't respond.

By MANSOOR IJAZ
President Clinton and his national security team ignored several opportunities to capture Osama bin Laden and his terrorist associates, including one as late as last year.

I know because I negotiated more than one of the opportunities.

From 1996 to 1998, I opened unofficial channels between Sudan and the Clinton administration. I met with officials in both countries, including Clinton, U.S. National Security Advisor Samuel R. "Sandy" Berger and Sudan's president and intelligence chief. President Omar Hassan Ahmed Bashir, who wanted terrorism sanctions against Sudan lifted, offered the arrest and extradition of Bin Laden and detailed intelligence data about the global networks constructed by Egypt's Islamic Jihad, Iran's Hezbollah and the Palestinian Hamas.

Among those in the networks were the two hijackers who piloted commercial airliners into the World Trade Center.

The silence of the Clinton administration in responding to these offers was deafening.

As an American Muslim and a political supporter of Clinton, I feel now, as I argued with Clinton and Berger then, that their counter-terrorism policies fueled the rise of Bin Laden from an ordinary man to a Hydra-like monster.

These guys are nuts. They'd be funny if it weren't so sad. Who's the biggest flip flopper?

The term flip flopper, of course, came from Republicans during the Clinton years. Clinton would propose an idea. Then he would entertain input. After the input was in and processed, the final proposal would be made. Because the input would often warrant a change in the original proposal, he was branded as a flip flopper. I call that good governing.

But during the Bush years, the President would say one thing, do another and there would be no input at all. Nobody called that flip flopping. Nobody called it what it really was, lying.

Now we have this "House of Joes" running for the Republican nomination. It's a pitiful display. It is textbook flip flopping. They are all guilty of wholesale changes in positions. They truly will say anything to get elected.

Pitiful.

ACCORDING TO AL-MAHDI, THE INTELLIGENCE SERVICE kept tabs on the entire bin Laden clique": We had a lot of information: who they are, who are their families, what is their education. We knew what they were doing in the country, what is their relationship with Osama bin Laden. And [had] photographs of them all." A senior official from Egyptian intelligence, who has worked closely with the Mukhabarat, substantiates the account: They knew all about them: who they were, where they came from. They had copies of their passports, their tickets; they knew where they went. Of course that information could have helped enormously. It is the history of those people."

THE MUKHABARAT ALSO UNCOVERED A WEALTH OF information about bin Laden's connection to Egyptian Islamic Jihad, including the fact that he hosted its founder, al-Zawahiri, in 1992. The group has since effectively merged with al-Qaeda. Yahia Hussien Baviker, the Mukhabarat's deputy chief since 1998, says, These files on the Egyptians could have been of great value to U.S. intelligence. If we'd had communication with the U.S., we could have been on the same wavelength. We could have exchanged notes." A C.I.A. source tells Rose, If anyone in the world understands the Egyptian side of this network, it's Sudan."

IT WAS NOT UNTIL MAY 2000 THAT THE U.S. SENT A JOINT F.B.I.-C.I.A. team to Sudan to investigate whether it was harboring terrorists; the country was given a clean bill of health in the summer of 2001. Just a few weeks prior to the September 11 attacks, the Bush administration requested Sudan's information on al-Qaeda.

Repost:

OK, WOLFIE, I'll give you that--Clinton screwed up.

But Clinton is no longer president, Bush is (or at least he seems to think so). What has he done to catch bin Laden? Nothing that I can see. He even said a few years ago that he doesn't even care or think about bin Laden. The guy is 6'4" and dragging a dialysis machine around with him. How come Bush can't find him?

There are plenty of things Clinton did poorly--letting the Republicks stop him from going after al Quaeda was only one of his mistakes. Fine, I agree with you on that He shouldn't have caved to the Republicks--you're right.

But is it Clinton's fault that Bush is stupid and incompetent? Is it Clinton's fault that Bush went on vacation immediately after being warned thet bin Laden was planning to attack us? No, Bush got to be a moronic f***-up entirely one his own (well, lousy parenting from George Sr. and Bar helped). That's one thing you can't blame Clinton for.

By the way, when are you cons going to get over it--you tried and tried to get Clinton to show you his weenie and he never did. I know how badly you guys wanted to see it (you Republicks are all such perverts!) but that was a long time ago. Move past it--it's making you guys even stupider than you already were.

HOW COULD THIS HAVE HAPPENED? CARNEY CONTENDS that U.S. intelligence failed because it became politicized": the message from Sudan did not fit conventional wisdom at the State Department and the C.I.A., and so it was disregarded, again and again. Rose writes that the simple answer is that the Clinton administration had accused Sudan of sponsoring terrorism, and refused to believe that anything it did to prove its bona fides could be genuine. At the same time, perceptions in Washington were influenced by C.I.A. reports that were wildly inaccurate, some the result of deliberate disinformation.

ROSE REPORTS THAT, HAD U.S. AGENCIES EXAMINED the Mukhabarat files in 1996 when they first had the chance the prospects of preventing subsequent al-Qaeda attacks would have been much greater. Gutbi al-Mahdi, the Mukhabarat's director general between 1997 and 2000, claims that if the F.B.I. had taken his offer in February 1998, the embassy bombings could have been prevented: They had very little information at that time: they were shooting in the dark. Had they engaged with Sudan, they could have stopped a lot of things." Rose writes that as late as the end of 1995, bin Laden was not judged important enough by the C.I.A. or the F.B.I. for anyone to mention him to U.S. Ambassador Don Petterson when Petterson talked to the Sudanese about terrorism, an indication that the U.S. knew very little about bin Laden's organization or lethal capacity. My recollection is that when I made representations about terrorist organizations Osama bin Laden did not figure," Petterson says. We in Khartoum were not really concerned about him."
