Chyron Watch: Breaking SoCal Fire News!
Here's Us Magazine's Joey Bartolomeo on MSNBC this afternoon, talking about the how the Southern California wildfires are affecting the constinuency that counts: Celebrities. (All the cablers have been covering it; this morning CNN had a brief celeb history of Malibu and we mentioned Fox's comments in that respect yesterday as well). It's a legitimate angle, though obviously not the most important one, but here's a chyron that caught our eye: "Even Celebrities Aren't Immune From Mother Nature's Fire Fury." Er, thanks for clearing that up.
Another chyron told us that Malibu's famed detox center, Promises, had been evacuated, which made us think that there was a gossipmonger's payday to have thought ahead and hunkered on the lawn waiting the eventual approach of the flames. Actually, TMZ probably did that.
A quick note on MSNBC: Wow, it's very RED. The walls can change color, but every time I click over....RED. MSNBC Late-Night Dance Party, people. It's so on.
