Bill Clinton Shouts Down 9/11 Conspiracy Theorists

Former President Bill Clinton responded aggressively on Tuesday when his speech at a fundraiser for his wife's campaign was interrupted by 9/11 conspiracy protesters.

"A fraud? No, it wasn't a fraud," Clinton said, responding to one of the hecklers as the audience cheered. "I'll be glad to talk to you if you shut up and let me talk." Another protester yelled that the attacks were an "inside job."

"An inside job? How dare you. How dare you. It was not an inside job," Clinton said. "You guys have got to be careful, you're going to give Minnesota a bad reputation."

Probably one of the greatest speaking Presidents ever. The bst one in my life time. I ont see his wife as holding a candle to him. It just seems protestors have been inreasingly rude for quite some time.

I truly believe History will look back at this National Tragedy in awe and disbelief that the unanswered questions and seemingly inexplicable fact that both towers of the World Trade Center were collapsed in as near a perfect example of controlled demolition as possible went unexplored.

The fact that a third World Trade Center complex also collapsed in it's foot print many hours later, and was not hit by an aircraft, is the icing on the cake for those of us who believe there is much, much more to this story than meets the *official* story.

The story takes on a life of it's own when you add the fact that Stocks were manipulated in advance, the Mayor of San Francisco is on record that he received a "heads-up" not to fly, the air space around DC went unprotected by military aircraft well after it was realize we were under attack, not to mention the fact that POTUS was not immediately huddled out of the school he was in -- at the time of the attack, which was after all a pre-disclosed publicized event -- and on and on ...

I love Bill Clinton, but he has lost major points with me ... again !! Two Strikes Bill.

But com'on, even those who aren't prone to conspiracy theories have to admit there are way, way to many unexplained circumstances revolving around 911 -- not to at least ask for greater detail and explanation of the facts on the ground.

I for one have a hard time buying that it was an *inside job* ... but I do suspect that those in power had knowledge that something was a foot and looked the other way ... to allow it play out .. in order to grab power and money from the US treasury vis a vis the *war on terror* and the grab of executive power by the office of the POTUS.

AND I can't get it out of my mind that Bush's own brother was responsible for security at the World Trade Center complex prior to 911. ???

2 things.....1) no one wrote anything about planes not hitting the towers yet people just assume that's what's in question....that's intentional disinformation 2) Ever since 9/11, I keep seeing people in comment sections and blogs saying they saw the plane hit the pentagon or their relative or whatever. I swear, you'd think there was a million people surrounding the Pentagon that day. Also total BS and disinformation.

I am constantly amazed at headlines such as the one in this article. Calling those who question the official, fairy tale version of 9/11 'conspiracy theorists' plays right into the hands of people like Clinton who refuse to acknowledge the anomalies and discrepancies of the Commission Report, as well as the huge amount of evidence that challenges what we were told by a government that has lied about everything and anything since it came to power.

Those who ask questions and demand open discussion and debate about what happened on 9/11 are not the conspiracy theorists. Those who have sold us a story about 19 young men with box cutters being able to get through the best defense system in history have concocted a conspiracy theory of their own. HOW DARE Bill Clinton humiliate and intimidate someone who believes that this administration could be responsible for death and destructio­n.....Duh!

Whether the 9/11 conspiracies turn out to be wrong or right in the end I think the more important thing is the current political climate of fear and total disregard for the people of the republic, not just their wishes, but their general wellbeing. I believe the primary cause and motivation to be greed and I believe that undermining a large segment of the public who don't believe the story of 9/11 and marginalizing them as being "nuts" just for wanting transparency is another in a long list of tactics that result in us feeling defeated and therefore unable to effect change, so I think it's dangerous, regardless of which side it's coming from. I also believe that the truth is usually very simple to explain...it stands on its own. So if no one is lying about anything why are they so reactive to the "truthers"? It doesn't show confidence to me. Anyway, either side attempting to shut people up is wrong.

Not everyone who questions the whether the official story is the FULL story questions EVERYTHING about that day. I don't believe that all the people in NYC who saw the planes hit are lying. My own personal view is that the fishier stuff is actually what happened at the pentagon but I admit I don't have access to enough information or education to say with 100% certitude one way or the other what the complete facts of that day are. The larger point is that it's suspicious to shut down all questioning.

I heard Bill Clinton’s comment last night on Nova radio and was shocked to say the least. I’m not sure what one is to make of his statement: “How dare you”? How dare you what???

I honestly don’t understand. I'm not one who subscribes to the idea that 9/11 was an ‘inside’ job. However, did the administration know there was a threat which involved airplanes hitting the towers? Did they do anything to prevent it from happening? We witnessed George continue reading “My Pet Goat”. Was the administration looking (hoping and praying) for another "Pearl Harbor" that would give them an excuse to bomb Iraq? And, despite information already available to the contrary, Bush and Cheney began to tie 9/11 to Iraq, despite the fact that 14 of the 17 hijackers were Saudi.

Do we know that the Bush Administration ‘fixed the facts’ to get us in to the war in Iraq? There were the WMD's and that smoking gun that could be a mushroom cloud. Has there been loss of life over this lie? Yes, and in numbers greater than the World Trade Center. We know that this administration planned to go into Iraq even before Bush took office and we know it was a real dilemma for them because they knew that Congress would not give them the authority without some big incident which could be construed as a threat to America. (Sort of like Iran now).

So, my question for Mr. Clinton would be this: When you say with such indignation, “How dare you”, are you asking the heckler how dare he believe that his government or his (president) would lie to the American people?

The hecklers were treated in much the same way as Republicans treat anyone who disagrees with them. Have them thrown out, and convince the world that their questions do not deserve even to be answered. I'd like to know how Hillary feels about Bill's comment and I'd like to know what Bill meant.

He will not make any detailed reply. Count on it. You may get more pointless answers like "My wife was involved in helping someone who was injured that day, therefor it was not an inside job." What is that answer supposed to mean anyways? How does that in any way refute the claim of 9/11 being an inside job?
