The Demo voters of his state of Connecticut in 2006 primary, voted for Joe's competitor, and won. Big time sorrow loser Joe decided to register Independent for the General election of 2004, and with the help of over 50% of the Republican vote, defeated Joe's Demo candidate and retained his US Senate seat. In this way, he was able to vote with the Bush/Cheney neo-conservatives in Congress for the continuation of this most corrupt war in American history, the war in Iraq!

Those illegal campaign donations are a direct result of the right-wing Republican lobbyist food-chain of political money to their favorite politicians in power.
