Blooper Of The Day: "Today" Show Screws Up Weather Segment

"Today" displayed the challenges of live television this morning when Al Roker cut to a local weather update. The show's sound crew kept Matt Lauer's mic on long enough for us to hear him call out someone for stealing his "New York Post". As audio returned to "NewsChannel 4", meteorologist Chris Cimino is seen snarkily mouthing something to his own off-camera crew. What did he say? "Why don't you ___?". Ive noticed a lot of screw ups more lately on CNN. I get the feeling they are one of the major employers of the Illegal Immigrants, and they have them working in the control booth. From the morning to wolf and lou at night, constantly the wrong video for the story, or they cant bring up a graphic or a video that is part of the show, or CG the wrong name and other info. Sometimes its like watching public access channel news. The content is ok, the on air talking head talents are typical, but either they hire people who have never seen a switcher in their lives, or they are working on training hamsters and monkeys for master control. Its really sad.

Hmm until the advent of you tube the rest of the country doesn't see what other tv markets do at the local cut in-us in LA would never have seen this, but we've had our own, one I remember was
the report of 'overlight noes in the 50's'.

How is this any different from the extremely immature, unprofessional and fact-free newscasts we get already - from Fox News, CNN, etc etc etc. Any form of journalism generated from the mainstream media is an embarrassing pile of propaganda crap.

I simply don't "get" why HuffPo deems this any kind of blooper - they are ALL always bloopers! We have absolutely NO standards left!

That is SOOOO annoying when they cut to the weather and leave the mics on (and they do it frequently) - you hear every innane comment, paper shuffle, cough, etc. until they switch back. Terrible Producing!! GRRRRR...
